Be a Foster Parent

Anima supplies a foster care program for animals that are not immediately adoptable or need special care before being adopted.

Under this program, you have the chance to give a temporary home to a sick or senior animal, helping us and your temporary pet with daily medication or any kind of special care needed.

The program aims to give animals in particular circumstances – which are less likely to find an adopter – the chance to experience the love of a family and, possibly, expedite the adoption process.

Therefore, puppies and kittens do not fall under this program, as they usually experience a higher demand and can more easily find a permanent home.

As all animals deserve a forever family, as a foster parent you are encouraged to help Anima finding a suitable adopter to your fostered pet. You may search within your circle of friends and contacts for a responsible adopter.

Being a foster parent brings care to the ones who need it the most and ensures that Anima has one extra space available to save one more life!

I understand fully that this animal(s) is\are temporarily in my care and belong exclusively to the Anima. I further understand that the purpose of this foster relationship is solely to provide care for this\these animal(s). Any determination made about this animal(s) must be approved by a designated Anima representative within the organization. I understand that when the animal(s) is ready to be available for adoption, I will bring it back to Anima for placement (all animals fostered by foster parents are the property of Anima and will remain so until adopted).

Any and all placements will be made through Anima and are subject to the same guidelines as any other adoption. Foster parents are encouraged to assist in the placement process of their foster animal(s).
