Anima-February Sad News (C1427-Leona)!

<27-02-2017> C1427-Leona (F), was rescued by Anima on 20th February 2017, when she was around few days old, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten was inside a plastic bag in Rua Oeste do Mercado de São Domingos. Leona had hypothermia from time to time since rescued. She was fostered by our Supervisor Zoe temporarily as she needed milk feeding. Today Leona had an eye infection and was checked by our vet. Later in the evening she had difficulty to breathe and unfortunately she passed away around 9:30 pm during the night. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Rescue and New Cat Under SPP (SPPC1436, SPPC1437)!

<27-02-2017> SPPC1436-Cally (F), with an estimated age of one year old, together with SPPC1437-Calla (F), with an estimated age of nine months old, now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), were rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 27th February 2017, somewhere in Taipa. They were dewormed, received the 1st vaccination and returned to their former place after body check. Michele is responsible for them in that area. Anima will support the neuter, provide food and the medical care if needed. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Do not abandon your pet! Anima–February Rescue (C1435-Nike)!

<27-02-2017> C1435-Nike (M), with an estimated age of eight months old, was rescued by Anima on 27th February 2017, after a call from Mr. Ao reporting that a cat was found by his neighbor in the building (Edificio)  Kuong Long. Anima–February Rescue (C1434-Noel)!

<27-02-2017> C1434-Noel (M), with an estimated age of six years old, was rescued by Anima on 27th February 2017, after a call from Ms. Mak reporting that a cat was found in Mandarin's House and he was weak. Anima-February Sad News (C1422-Chili)!

<26-02-2017> C1406-Karen (F), was rescued by Anima on 29th January 2017, when she was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Koo reporting that she used to feed two cats in Hellen Garden and one of them was injured. The injured one, C1402-Kirin, was rescued on 25th January 2017. He was attacked by a new cat over there. His eye was swollen with watery blood coming out. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. The left eye lid got a long cutting wound and four stitches were required to close it up. He has stayed with us under close observation and medication. We set up a trap and the sibling, C1406-Karen, was caught on 29th January 2017. Karen was staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. She got pregnant before we caught her. Two kittens, C1422-Chili and C1423-Paprika, were born by her on 11th February 2017. They were fostered temporarily by our staff...

ANIMA –Sad News of February (317-Trufa)!

<21-02-2017> Trufa has left us on 21st February 2017! 317-Trufa (F), that should be today around 10 years and seven months old, was adopted by Claudia on 28 May 2014. Claudia was her former foster parent from 22nd November 2013! Unfortunately when she was out, as foster parent, Trufa got caught by a car after escaping from her family, when they were walking her in the streets of Macau. Trufa was fighting for her life in Macau, after the accident, as she was not able to pee and poo by herself and she had to submit to daily treatment of around two to three hours of physiotherapy plus a daily bath. Claudia adopted Trufa after the accident. This was a courageous decision of care and love! As she was in Portugal, she assumed a very difficult decision to have her back. Anima-Colegio Mateus Ricci Visited Us!

<25-02-2017> Today, 11 people visited us, three of them were from Colegio Mateus Ricci! They came to play and work for us! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to January 2017, Anima received 788 visitors, an increase of 22% as compared with the same period of last year! Anima–February Adoption (C1268-Beckam)!

<25-02-2017> Beckam was adopted by Mr. Ma on 25th February 2017! C1268-Beckam (M), was rescued by Anima on 25th August 2016, when he was around two years old, after a call from Ms. Gina referring that a lady Ms. Rebecca asked if we could collect one cat to Anima. Ms. Rebecca used to feed three cats in Povoacao de Mong Ha, one of them was adopted, one passed away and the remain one was Beckam. As there was a guy always using infrared light to play with cats we decided to keep him for safety. Beckam was collected to Anima and checked by our vet. He has stayed with us until now.
