Anima-October Sad News (391-Mammy)!

<27-10-2020> 391-Mammy (F), around 13 years old, was found lying on the floor barking and could not move today. There was vomited food around and her breath was difficult. She was immediately sent to a clinic. According to the vets, her heartbeat and blood sugar is normal and her current condition is not life-threatening. Doctors found her head cocking on the right side and suspected she might have otitis media which was causing her dizziness and difficulty in breathing. Blood test has been done and results showed a slight anemia, infection and pancreatitis. It was suggested to hospitalize 391-Mammy for at least three days. She was transferred to another clinic for a second opinion. Based on the blood test results and her cocking head, she might have also old dog vestibular disease which she could slowly recovery on her own. Even though it was suggested that...

Anima–October Rescue (C2420-Hiro)!

<27-10-2020> C2420-Hiro (M), around six weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 27 October 2020, after received a call from Ms. Wong reporting that she saw a kitten being chased by four dogs and hidden between the rocks on an abandoned site on Rua de Viseu, two days before. Rescue Team went there and found the kitten hidden in a hole on the slope at the site. C2420-Hiro was sent to a clinic to check his weak hind legs. According to the vet, X-ray results showed no fracture and Hiro was maybe limping due to a neuron problem. C2420-Hiro was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise with prescribed medication. Thanks, Ms. Wong! Anima–October Return to Family (B174-Budgia)!

<23-10-2020> B174-Budgia, an adult turquoise quaker, was rescued by Anima on 22 October 2020, after we received a Facebook message from Ms. Liu reporting that she found a bird, B174-Budgia, falling on to the streets near Edf. Fong Ieng. She asked us help as the bird cannot fly and is used to humans’ interactions with him. B174-Budgia was sent to a clinic with Ms. Liu’s help and she stays safe there until now. This morning, Anima received a Facebook Message from the owner of B174-Budgia, Ms. Sandra Tang claiming that she is her pet (Fei Mui), and she proofs her ownership. Ms. Tang reported also that Fei Mui accidently scaped from her house while her mother was cleaning the windows. B174-Budgia was returned to her family. Thanks, Ms. Liu and Ms. Tang! Anima–October Rescue (B174-Budgia)!

<22-10-2020> B174-Budgia, an adult turquoise conure, was rescued by Anima on 22 October 2020, after we received a Facebook message from Ms. Liu reporting that she found a bird, B174-Budgia, falling on to the streets near Edf. Anima–October Rescue (C2416-Joelle)!

<14-10-2020> C2409-Lorrie (F), around two years old, C2410-Lawrence (M), around eight months old, C2411-Lilian (F), around seven months old, as well as C2412-Lumi (F) and C2413-Lucia (F), both around two years old, were all rescued by Anima on the 11th October 2020, from the cages where they were found without minimum living conditions, inside the interior patio of a building in Macau. One other cat, C2414-Kaya (gender and age to be identified), was also rescued, caught while roaming freely over the site. Today, C2416-Joelle (M), around eight months old, was rescued by Anima at the same site. These are the results of an extensive rescue operation in a site identified by our rescue team on the previous days and under the responsibility of an elderly lady in Macau. Anima–October Adoption (2307-Aaron)!

<12-10-2020> Aaron was adopted today by Ms. Un! 2307-Aaron (M), around one month and 19 days old, was rescued by Anima on 12th October 2020, from I.A.M. after they caught him and his three siblings at Estrada de Hac Sa on 22nd September 2020. 2307-Aaron was vaccinated and microchipped in Macau Kennel. Anima-October Sad News (C1723-Cerci)!

<10-10-2020> C1723-Cerci (F), around three months old by the time, was rescued on 27th September 2017, by our staff Ah Cheng on the way to work. C1723-Cerci was inside a rat trap at that time. She was checked by our vet and stayed in our Cat’s Paradise until now. Unfortunately, her health became compromised with her condition as a carrier of FCV (Feline Calicivirus). C1723-Cerci was not improving and she passed away today. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
