Anima–September Rescue (2467-Popeye)!

<12-09-2022> 2467-Popeye (M), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 12th September 2022, after a call from Mrs. Lee, reporting that she found a paralyzed puppy at Rua dos Negociantes, in Coloane last night. She asked us to help. This morning, our rescue team went to the site and managed to catch the puppy. 2467-Popeye was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. X-Ray Examination revealed that he has spinal fractures, the vertebra was separated into two pieces. According to the vet, no surgery can be done. 2467-Popeye is unable to feel pain in those limbs and he will be paralyzed for all his life. It is understandable that long-term incontinence management can become very challenging, and quality of life will be reduced. Yet, Anima will try the best to give him a good life and find a foster family. 2467-Popeye will be hospitalized in the clinic for now. Thanks, Mrs. Lee! Please help us...

Anima–September Rescue (SPP2256-Kelsie)!

<08-09-2022> SPP2256-Kelsie (F), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 8th September 2022. She is under our Special Protection Program (SPP), under Ms. Wong’s responsibility in a Ka-Ho workshop. SPP2256-Kelsie was sent to a clinic for consultation and a blood test, due to a wound noticed in her mouth. Results were positive for tick fever. SPP2256-Kelsie needs to stay in the clinic for further wound cleaning and veterinary treatment. Thanks, Ms. Wong! Please help us to help them!
