June New Cats Born and Sad News (C1591 to C1593)!

<12-06-2017> C1519-Alma (F) and C1520-Allie (F), around two years and one year old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 9th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took them home yesterday and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. They were brought to Anima, checked by our vet and de-wormed. C1519-Alma has severe gingivitis and upper respiratory problems and was pregnant. She was breathing hard with yellowish nasal discharge and was dehydrated. She was staying in V8 under treatment. C1591-Aliana (F), C1592-Apollo (M) and C1593-Ayden (M) were born by C1519-Alma last night. C1593-Ayden passed away. C1519-Alma is staying in V6 with the two kittens, C1591-Aliana and C1592-Apollo. Anima–June Rescue and Sad News (C1588 to C1590)!

<11-06-2017> C1588-Hanna (F), C1589-Hanni (F) and C1590-Hunny (M), all around two months old, were rescued by Anima on 11th June 2017, after a call from Mr. Lao, informing that there were three kittens trapped in the balcony of the second floor of the Edifício (building) Tim Chui. Hunny was dead already and his body was collected and delivered to IACM. C1588-Hanna and C1589-Hanni were checked by out vet, de-wormed and sprayed with Frontline. They were delivered to Cats’ Paradise for quarantine. Thanks Mr. Lao! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – June Sad News (1528-Paulina)!

<06-06-2017> 1524-Paxton, 1525-Payton, 1526-Parker, 1527-Paulette, 1528-Paulina and 1529-Pauline were rescued by Anima on 21st September 2015, in Coloane, after a call from Mr. Edgar. They were alone and no mother was found at the place. 1528-Paulina was adopted on 26th October 2015. Later we were informed by the adopter on 7th May 2017, that 1528-Paulina was not eating for two days and was unable to move. The adopter brought 1528-Paulina to a clinic for consultation but nothing could be done. Ms. Lai asked us to help as the condition of 1528-Paulina was not improving and she couldn't afford the expensive bills. 1528-Paulina was brought to Anima for consultation, she did a blood test and the result showed she was anemic and had an infection. She was delivered to a clinic for further examination and a x-rays showed there was a tumor in her kidney. 1528-Paulina was transferred to...

Anima–June Rescue and Sad News (1898-Alisa)!

<02-06-2017> 1898-Alisa (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd June 2017, after a call from “Comando da Polícia de Segurança Pública” (the headquarters of Public Security Police) informing that 1898-Alisa, was hit by a car in Rua de Sacadura Cabral and was dying. 1898-Alisa had an owner and she lost her as the leash was loose. 1898-Alisa passed away before we arrived. Anima–May Sad News (C1533-Galina)!

<26-05-2017> C1533-Galina (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on the 13th May 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar from Anihelp, informing that he has rescued C1533-Galina near Iao Hon Market in the morning and has delivered her to a clinic for consultation as she was very weak. C1533-Galina was dehydrated and with low temperature, and was hospitalized in the clinic the night before for IV Dripping and observation. C1533-Galina was collected by Anima and was staying in V6 continuing with the treatment. Unfortunately she entered in suffer and nobody could help her. By our Code of Ethics, after a favorable vet opinion, two board members of Anima approved to put her sleeping, the last one the President. She was euthanized on 26th May 2017! R.I.P. my friend! Anima–May Rescue and Sad News (SPP1895-Barbie)!

<23-05-2017> SPP1895-Barbie (F), around four years old, now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), was rescued by Anima on the 23rd May 2017, after a call from Mr. Chan, informing that a dog (SPP1895-Barbie) was in a construction site next to Pou Tai Un Monastery and was hit by a car, seeming paralyzed. Barbie was send to a clinic for consultation and X-ray check. SPP1895-Barbie had severe spinal fracture and a lump in the anal gland and she was in great pain and suffering and nothing could be done to help her. After a call to Mr. Chan explaining the situation, a favorable opinion of the vet who saw her and two Anima board members approval, the last one the President of Anima, Barbie was euthanized. <16-05-2017> 1894-Roddie (M), with an estimated age of one year old, was rescued by Anima, after a call from Mr. Carvalhais of ARTM, already completed destroyed by a truck, on 16th May 2017, near Ka-Ho. Anima–May Rescue and Sad News (C1537-Tolina)!

<17-05-2017> C1537-Tolina (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on the 17th May 2017, after a call from Mr. Lou, informing that he had found a kitten, C1537-Tolina, lying on the ground in Pátio do Comandante Mata e Oliveira. She was brought to Anima and checked by out vet. C1537-Tolina was crying in pain when checking with an internal injury and bleeding. She was full of fleas with hypothermia, anemic and jaundice. She had an ocular and yellowish nasal discharge, suffering from upper respiratory infection. C1537-Tolina passed away half an hour after arriving Anima, still during the examination. Thanks Mr. Lou! <04-05-2017> C1508-Jewel (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 29th April 2017, after a call from Mr. Leong, reporting that a kitten, C1508-Jewel, was found in Rua de Malaca, near Golden Dragon Macau, and was sick.
