Anima-August Adoption (CH006-Joltik)!

<07-08-2021> Joltik was adopted today by Ms. Pattarin! CH006-Joltik (M), a chinchilla, was rescued by Anima on 27th March, 2021 following a facebook message reporting that a chinchilla was found abandoned in a tiny cage near Taipa Nam San Building. Joltik was collected and welcomed into our Dogs’ Shelter. Today, Joltik found a forever family. Thank you for choosing to adopt, Ms. Pattarin! Please adopt and never buy! Anima-August Rescue and Return (SPP2382-Runny Nose)!

<06-08-2021> SPP2382-Runny Nose (M), around one year old, became under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 26th July 2021, under Mr. Io's responsibility. Today, SPP2382-Runny Nose was sent to a clinic to desex and received a cherry eye surgery. A blood test was done in the clinic, and he is healthy enough to receive the surgery. Anima will help with the neutering surgeries and promotion for adoption. Hope we can find a new home for him! Please help us to help them! Anima-August Adoption (C2412-Lumi)!

<04-08-2021> Lumi was adopted today by Mr. Yueng! C2409-Lorrie (F), around two years old, C2410-Lawrence (M), around eight months old, C2411-Lilian (F), around seven months old, as well as C2412-Lumi (F) and C2413-Lucia (F), both around two years old, were all rescued by Anima on the 11th of October 2020, from the cages where they were found without minimum living conditions, inside the interior patio of a building in Macau. One other cat, C2414-Kaya (gender and age to be identified), was also rescued apart, caught while roaming freely over the site. This was the second day of an extensive rescue operation in a site identified by our rescue team on the previous days and under the responsibility of an elderly lady in Macau. <27-07-2021> Today, we were visited by 18 people, of which 9 were from the 12th Macau Scout Group! The scouts gave us a helpful hand with nine members volunteering at our Cats’ Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima-New SPP dogs (from SPP2380 to SPP2388)!

<26-07-2021> Nine dogs were registered under our Special Protection Program (SPP) today: SPP2380-Dong Dong (F), around three years old; SPP2381-Michael (M), around six years old; SPP2382-Runny Nose (M), SPP2383-Lubby (F), SPP2384-Paco (F), SPP2385-Happy (F) and SPP2386-MiMi (F), all around one year old; as well as SPP2387-Billy (M), four years old and SPP2388-Chung Chung (F), 17 years old. We received a call from the owner of the dogs, Mr. Io, seeking our help as he has lost his job in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is struggling to take care of them. Runny Nose, Lubby, Paco Happy, and MiMi were born by the mother Dong Dong and father Michael (F) in June, 2020. These seven are of Cane Corso bread, an intelligent, active, independent breed which demands a certain care, as they can grow up to be 60 Kg. Anima–July Sad News (C2081-Cesar)!

<26-07-2021> Our cat, C2081-Cesar was sent to a clinic for consultation today as he had vomited and seemed to have breathing difficulty this morning. According to the vet, Cesar had bloody abdominal fluid. An ultrasound showed swollen intestinal lymph nodes and it was suspected that Cesar has an intestinal tumour. Cesar's prognosis was not good and started to be under medical treatment. However, he couldn’t resist and passed away. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
