Anima–August Sad News (C1232-Stone)!

<30-08-2017> C1232-Stone (M), on the time around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 9th July 2016, after a call from Ms. Fung reporting that a cat was found in Rua Dois do Bairro da Areia Preta and was very weak. Stone was severely dehydrated, very slim and full of fleas. He was weak and hungry and was under IV dripping. He recovered and stayed with us. C1232-Stone had been getting sick since two weeks ago. Blood test showed that he had anemia and infection. He also had gingivitis and dehydration. He was under dripping and treatment but unfortunately he couldn’t make it. R.I.P. my friend! Anima–August Temporary Foster !

<29-08-2017> The two typhoons  caused a huge damage in our dogs' shelter and Cat’s Paradise. The free area of our Cat’s Paradise was almost completed destroyed! Ceilings were broken by fall down trees and all the nets protecting the cats were destroyed! As so, we asked urgently help from our community friends to foster our animal until we fix the ceilings. Today four cats and two rabbits were fostered. C1625-Sunny was fostered by Mr. Filip! C563-Puddles was fostered by Ms. Jenny! C250-Black Pearl and C1499-Gobby were fostered by Ms. Elsa! R034-Ricki was fostered by Ms. Carmen! R037-Global was fostered by Mr. Ho! Thanks Mr. Filip, Ms. Jenny, Ms. Elsa, Ms. Carmen and Mr. Ho! We need temporary fosters and volunteers to help cleaning our shelters during these days! Without fosters our cats will be in serious risk as they will be confined to small areas and the diseases will spread! Anima is facing a serious number of animals dying by transmittable diseases! Anima–August Adoption (R038-Haskell)!

<29-08-2017> Haskell was adopted by Mr. Garry on 29th August 2017! R038-Haskell (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 15th August 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space in the kennel as they need that space for more rescues. R038-Haskell was neutered and dewormed. He stayed in our Cat’s Paradise and was now adopted. Anima and IACM are cooperating in order to save as many animals as possible! Thanks Mr. Garry! Anima–August Sad News (C1656-Makena)!

<29-08-2017> The mother, C1654-Mamie (F), around two years old, with her three kittens, C1655-Mable (F), C1656-Makena (F) and C1657-Manus (M), on the time all around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd July 2017, after a call from Ms. Shum reporting that a cat gave birth in Yuet Wah College  and needed our help. C1654-Mamie, C1655-Mable, C1656-Makena and C1657-Manus were checked by our vet and dewormed. C1656-Makena was checked in our clinic two weeks ago due to diarrhea. Anima–August Sad News (292-Nuvens)!

<29-08-2017> 292-Nuvens (F), around 10 years old now, was rescued by Anima on 20th November 2009 and passed away in her pen during the night. 292-Nuvens was getting sick since one week ago. X-ray showed that she had a tumor and it was spreading. 292-Nuvens was under dripping, treatment and force feeding as she refused to eat. Unfortunately she couldn’t make it. Nuvens was one of our eldest dogs that had stayed with us for so long. When people saw her, their first reaction might be a bit scared because she was bigger than normal size, but actually she was extremely friendly. We will miss you! R.I.P. my friend! Anima–August Sad News (C1659-Harris)!

<28-08-2017> C1659-Harris (M), on the time around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd July 2017, after a call from Ms. Kan reporting that four kittens were trapped in the trail of Small Taipa. Ms. Kan contacted the fire department to help but they didn’t succeed to get them out. C1659-Harris was caught and delivered to Anima. C1659-Harris was checked by our vet and dewormed. He stayed in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise. C1659-Harris was checked in our clinic one week ago as he refused to eat and had diarrhea. Anima–August Sad News (C1523-Alfa)!

<28-08-2017> C1519-Alma (F) and C1520-Allie (F), around two years and one year old, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 9th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took them home the night before and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. C1512-Wifi was taken on the 3rd of May 2017! They were brought to Anima, checked by our vet and de-wormed. C1519-Alma had severe gingivitis and upper respiratory problems. She was breathing hard with yellowish nasal discharge and was dehydrated. C1520-Allie was pregnant and was delivered to Cat Paradise for quarantine. C1523-Alfa (M), C1524-Beta, C1525-Gamma, C1526-Delta, C1527-Omega were born by C1520-Allie on 10th May 2017! Unfortunately C1523-Alfa passed away this morning. Anima–August Sad News (255-Sophie)!

<28-08-2017> 255-Sophie (F), around 11 years old now, passed away this afternoon. 255-Sophie was checked in our clinic two weeks ago due to difficulty in breathing. She was skinny and dehydrated. She had been under dripping and observation since that. Unfortunately she couldn’t make it, and the cause of death was a lymphoma. Sophie was one of our eldest dogs that had stayed with us for so long. She was very friendly and always shaking her tail to show you how happy she was. We will miss you! R.I.P. my friend!
