Anima–June Sad News (C1176-Domina)!

<23-06-2017> C1176-Domina (F), on the time around six years old, was rescued by Anima on 26th April 2016, after a call from Mr. Ho reporting that he had been taking care of Domina for five years in a warehouse, but he didn’t want her anymore as she always pees on his goods. He asked if we could collect her. We lent a container to Mr. Ho and Domina was caught and delivered to Anima. Domina had been under treatment since 16th June 2017 as she was getting skinny and dehydrated. She had FIP, gingivitis and breathing sonorous. She was taking medication but she didn’t improve at all and begin to enter in suffer! After discussion with our vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please...

Rescue and New Dogs under SPP (SPP1901, SPP1902)!

<23-06-2017> SPP1901-Fargo (M) and SPP1902-Farley (M), both with an estimated age of six months old, now under our Special Protection Program (SPP), were rescued by Anima on 23rd June 2017, after a call from Mr. Alex reporting that there are some dogs that need to be neutered in a site of Coloane. SPP1901-Fargo and SPP1902-Farley were castrated by our vet and returned to their former place after surgery. Mr. Alex is responsible for them in that area. <22-06-2017> C1608-Victoria (F), with an estimated age of 2.5 months old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd June 2017, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten was found outside her shop at R. Anima–June Adoption (C1561-Dorothy)!

<21-06-2017> Dorothy was adopted by Ms. Wong on 21st June 2017! C1544-Dallas (M), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on the 24th May 2017, after a call from Ms. Leong, informing that she has been hearing a kitten crying for a couple of days above her apartment in Rua Dois do Bairro Va Tai and no sign of the mother cat.  She asked for help. We went to check and contacted the fire department for help. C1544-Dallas was rescued on 24th May 2017, but was missing two. C1561-Dorothy (F) was rescued on 28 May 2017 and was around two months old! C1566-Dino (M) was rescued on 30th May 2017, and was around two months old. Dorothy was checked by our vet and de-wormed. Anima–June Rescue (T009-Bubble)!

<21-06-2017> T009-Bubble (F), with an estimated age of two years old, was rescued by Anima on 21st June 2017, after a call from Mr. Si reporting that a turtle was found in the street of Avenida do Coronel Mesquita. T009-Bubble was sent to a clinic by Mr. Si. It is difficult to believe that as she has fallen  from a building! We took over T009-Bubble and transferred her to a second clinic. Anima–June New Cats Born and Sad News (C1605, C1606)!

<20-06-2017> C1565-Gretel (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on the 30th May 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar, from Anihelp, informing that they rescued a cat in Nam Van area and the cat was unable to move. The cat was sent to a clinic for consultation and for an X-rays. The result showed that her pelvis was fractured. No surgery was needed as she could recover by herself, in around one month to 1.5 months and she must stay in a cage for limitation of movements according to the vet. C1565-Gretel was brought to Anima and was staying in our V6. Today two dead fetus, C1605-Goss and C1606-Grital were found in her cat litter box. C1565-Gretel will be under close observation now.
