Anima–May Return and Abandonment (C812-Phoebe)!

<03-05-2017> C812-Phoebe (F), C813-Perry and C814-Paddy were found on 17th October 2014 at Av. do Oceano. Their mother has passed away. Phoebe was adopted on 9th November 2014! The adopter brought C812-Phoebe to our dog shelter this morning, claiming that  because of her divorce nobody is able to take care of C812-Phoebe anymore. Phoebe is now six years and eight months old! C812-Phoebe was checked by our vet and de-wormed. She is staying in C11 temporarily to adapt to the new environment as she is very scared. Anima–May Rescue (C1512-Wifi)!

<03-05-2017> C1512-Wifi (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on the 3rd May 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, reporting that she took home Wifi yesterday and asked us if we could take to Anima all the cats she feeds in Guia as she found many have been poisoned there. She asked us to help. C1512-Wifi was brought to Anima, checked by our vet and de-wormed. He is staying in Cats’ Paradise in quarantine. Thanks Ms. Sandy! Please help us to help them! Anima – May Rescue (SPPC1128-Maxi)!

<03-05-2017> SPPC1128-Maxi (F) and SPPC1129-Smokey, around nine months old, under our Special Protection Program from 19th February 2016, were rescued by Anima on that day, through Michele, somewhere in Taipa. Maxi was neutered and stayed with us up to 26th June 2016. He went back to a place controlled by Michele, a real Angel for the colonies of cats! Today she was rescued again and came back to Anima with lots of fleas, high fever and severe dehydration. She was checked by our vet, de-wormed internally and externally and is now under dripping. Anima–Campaign against Canidrome-The History!

<03-05-2017> Let’s remember some features of this huge fight still not over! Requested by Anima, British Roger Taylor (drums, vocal) from the Queen’s band has sent a letter to the Macau Chief Executive to ask for the closing of Canidrome! Canidrome will be closed up to the end of 2018! We all has win this first battle! However we can loose the second battle which is to save all of those animals that are suffering in Canidrome, if we are not capable to convince Canidrome and the Macau Government to help them, helping Anima or any other Macau Animal Welfare organization that wants to work with Anima for saving them all ! Let’s save all of them that are still in Canidrome. Canidrome may have around 600 greyhounds at this moment! Anima-May Rescue (1875-Granny)!

<02-05-2017> 1875-Granny (F), around nine years old, was rescued by Anima on the 2nd May 2017, after we saw that she was wandering outside the Water Company near Anima. No microchip was found. She had skin problems and hair loss all over the body. 1875-Granny was delivered temporarily to Macau Kennel as we have no space for her now, but we will collect her as soon as we are capable to reorganize our space, which is not easy! She was for sure abandoned and that area is very dangerous for any dog being free as Altinho de Ka Ho is a serious killer road! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Rescue (C1511-Olsen)!

<02-05-2017> C1511-Olsen (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on the 2nd May 2017, after a call from Ms. Kan, reporting that Olsen entered in the terrace of her building at Jardins de Lisboa. She asked us to help. C1511-Olsen was not easy to catch. We set up a cat trap there as C1511-Olsen could fall down if we try to catch him as he was scared. Ms. Kan contacted us this morning informing that C1511-Olsen entered in the trap. C1511-Olsen was brought to Anima, checked by our vet and de-wormed. He is staying in Cats’ Paradise in quarantine. An agreement of cooperation with 22 articles, that mainly establish the areas of cooperation between both organizations. The parties consider being in the interest of both institutions to cooperate in the fields of animal rescue, animal accommodation and animal adoption. <30-04-2017> C1510-Bunny (M), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 30th April 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar of Anihelp, reporting that C1510-Bunny was found by a resident on the road of Rua De Santo Tiago Da Barra. Anima- April Sad News (C944-Cayla)!

C954-Cato and C955-Cayla were rescued by Anima on 22nd May 2015, after a call from Mrs. Hui reporting that Cato and Cayla (the mother) were part of a group of seven cats living in a construction site. People there seemed not happy seeing community members feeding the animals. She was also worried the workers will poison the remaining two as three already have disappeared suddenly. C955-Cayla passed away in V6 this afternoon due to severe jaundice and liver problem. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!
