Anima–November Rescue (C1346-Kara)!

<30-11-2016> C1346-Kara (F), with an estimated age of three years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th November 2016, after a call from Mr. Ferreira reporting that a cat needed our help. According to Mr. Ferreira, his friend had over ten dogs and one cat at home, but his friend disappeared suddenly and the contract of the apartment will be finished on 1st December. Mr. Ferreira also mentioned that his friend didn’t treat the animals well. Most of his dogs were adopted already and only one dog and one cat was not. The last dog was picked up by another animal association and we took over the cat. Kara was checked by our vet and dewormed. She is staying with us now. Thanks Mr. Ferreira! Anima–November Returned to Nature (B058-Twin)!

<29-11-2016> B058-Twin was rescued by Anima on 25th November 2016, after a call from Ms. Valeria reporting that a bird was found unable to fly in the park of The Residencia. Twin was sent to a clinic and stayed in the clinic for observation until now. Twin has recovered and was released today! Fly free my friends! Anima–Cat Under SPP Returned (SPPC1323-Tissy)!

<29-11-2016> Tissy was released on 29th November 2016! SPPC1323-Tissy (M), on the time with an estimated age of 15 years old, was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 5th November 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Tissy was checked by our vet and dewormed. He had upper respiratory tract infection, gingivitis, stomatitis, conjunctivitis and lump. He stayed with us temporarily for treatment. Anima–November Temporary Accomodation (827-Susa)! 

<29/11/2016> 827-Susa (Muchi) is now accommodated in Anima for immigrant procedures as the family is going back to Australia. Susa (F), with an estimated age of five years old now, was rescued by Anima on 2nd June 2012 in Hac Sa. Her siblings, 822-Fanni, 823-Sam, 824-Lola, 825-Brownie, 826-Whitey, all were rescued as well. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates. For dogs, 50 patacas per day and for cats 30 patacas per day. In case of members the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Rescue and Temporary Accomodation (SPPC1324-1327)!

<29-11-2016> The mother, SPPC1324-Polly (F), on the time with an estimated age of three years old, together with her kittens, SPPC1325-Becky (F), SPPC1326-Sawyer (M) and SPPC1327-Huck (M), on the time all with an estimated age of 1.5 months old, were under our Special Protection Program (SPP) and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 7th November 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Polly had upper respiratory infection and the breathing was not clear. Becky, Sawyer and Huck had eye discharge and inflammation. They were returned to their former place after dewormed and medication prescribed in the same day. Today they were brought to Anima again. Polly is staying with us to be spayed. Rescue and Temporary Accomodation (SPPC1318-Squiggle)!

<29-11-2016> SPPC1318-Squiggle (M), on the time with an estimated age of three months old, was under our Special Protection Program and rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 24th October 2016, somewhere in Taipa. Squiggle was brought to Anima because he was slightly dehydrated and very skinny. He had upper respiratory infection and got watery discharge on both eyes. He was returned to the former place after the medication was prescribed in the same day. Today he was brought to Anima again as he was found sneezing, the mandibular lymph nodes were swollen as well. Anima-November Sad News (134-Archie)!

<28-11-2016> 134-Archie (M), with an estimated age of eleven years old now, passed away this morning in the clinic. Archie was sent to a clinic for further examination on 19th November as he was shrinking lately. He refused to eat. X-ray showed unidentified thing in the bowel, seemed like stones. A surgery was performed and a tumor was removed from the bowel yesterday. Unfortunately, we were informed by the clinic that he passed away in the morning. He was one of the dogs that had stayed with us for the longest time. We will miss you! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets!
