IACM – June Adoption (451-Ivonne)!

451-Ivone was first adopted from Anima on 20 June 2009 and was abandoned in Praça do Tap Seac. Someone found her in the street and delivered her to IACM. After she was adopted again in kennel on 10th April 2015, but we were informed by IACM that Ivone was abandoned in kennel on 18th May 2016. Fortunately, by an old informal policy between Anima and IACM, when we transfer our property to a new adopter our name is internally registered in IACM file. Thanks to our new cooperation with IACM, and because we are completely full, Ivone was subject to Adoption in IACM. IACM has informed us that Ivonne was adopted by Mr. Fung today! Thanks Mr. Fung! Anima – June New Dog under SPP (SPP1735-Frida)!

SPP1735-Frida (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 6th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Rebecca reporting that some dogs in Coloane needed to transfer to another place. According to Ms. Rebecca, there were eight dogs in the site, being Mr. Cheong the person responsible for them in that area. Ms. Rebecca found a place to keep all of them. SPP1731-Fay and SPP1732-Fern were caught on 30th May 2016. Today Frida was caught. She was neutered already. Mr. Cheong will keep trying to catch all of them and move them to that safety place. Frida is under our Special Protection Program now. She is staying with Fay and Fern in that safety place. Thanks Ms. Rebecca and Mr. Cheong! Please help us to help them! Anima – June Adoption (C1186-Peer)!

Peer was adopted by Mr. Cai on 6th June 2016! C1186-Peer (M), together with C1184-Pink (F) and C1185-Piritta (F),  were rescued by Anima on 30th April 2016, when they were around one month old, after a call from Ms. Yung reporting that three kittens were found in a cartoon box in Rua 2 (two) of Iao Hon. C1184-Pink, C1185-Piritta and C1186-Peer were checked by our vet and de-wormed. They were being taken care by our Supervisor temporarily as they still needed milk. Peer stayed with us until now. All of them were adopted! Thanks Mr. Cai! Please help us to help them! June New Born and Sad News (C1213, C1214, C1215)!

C1173-Cheddar (F), on the time around 10 months old, was rescued by Anima on 21st April 2016, after a call from Mr. Wai informing that Cheddar fell down from the terrace of Jardim da Victoria (Block H). Our rescue team found Cheddar trapped in a closed terrace of the building. She was collected, checked and dewormed. Cheddar was dehydrated, had fever and gum problems. She was also  pregnant! Cubbie was born by Cheddar this morning, half of the body was out but the head was still stuck inside, and had no vital sign when being found. Cheddar was sent to a clinic immediately and Cubbie was confirmed as dead. The other two babies, Caelan and Calla were also  taken out and they are fine and healthy. Anima – June Adoption (C821-Hogan)!

Hogan was now adopted by Ms. Hoi on 5th June 2016! C821-Hogan (M), with C822-Howar (M), were rescued by Anima on 24th October 2014 in Coloane, when they were  around six months old. Their mother SPPC785-Jill was under our Special Protection Program from 22nd August 2014. Hogan was adopted on 13th January 2015. Hogan was returned by the former adopter on 27th May 2016. We were not happy with the excuse! Now he was adopted again by Ms. Hoi! We wish Hogan and the new family an happy life together! Thanks Ms. Hoi! Pink and Piritta were adopted by Mr. Lau on 4th June 2016! Anima – June Sad News (SPPC1109-Phedra)!

SPPC1109-Phedra (F), around seven years old, was rescued by Anima on 20th January 2016, after a call from Michele reporting that a cat was found with a nose injury somewhere in Taipa. Phedra’s nostril got crusted and her tongue was injured as well. Auscultation indicated heart problem (arrhythmias). Some teeth was missing and most of them were worn. We were keeping an eye on her! She was getting worse and was sent to two clinics for second and third opinion. The crust of her nose was falling off, it was a big hole and the bone was totally exposed. The necrosis was so bad that could even see through the upper palate. According to the vet, the hole of her nose was getting bigger despite the chemotherapy, and her eyes could barely opened. The cancer had spread to the eyes and nervous system already. We did our best but she was already in suffer from Squamous cell...

Anima – June Sad News (C554-Angel)!

C554-Angel (F) was rescued on 28th July 2013 and died today! Angel was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Liu reporting that the stray cat used to feed by her was found pregnant. We picked her up to Anima. Angel had Renal Failure, the kidneys had been shutting down. She was refusing to eat  and got severely dehydrated. We tried our best but still couldn’t save her. Anima – June Sad News (B028-Ece)!

Ece passed away on 1st June 2016! B028-Ece was rescued by Anima on 31st May 2016, after a call from Ms. Si reporting that a bird was found injured in Rua de Fernão Mendes Pinto. The left eye of Ece couldn’t open and Ece couldn’t fly as well. Our rescue team sent Ece to a clinic. According to the vet, the left eye problem seemed to be caused by virus but was unable to identity. Ece was staying in clinic and  passed away this morning around 8am.
