Anima–September Rescue (C1698, C1699)!

<05-09-2017> C1698-Becca (F), around one year old and C1699-Butch (M), around eight months old, were rescued by Anima on 5th September 2017, after a call from our rescue team reporting that two injured cats were found during their daily feeding, in a site of Ka-Ho. Accordng to the people from the site, those two cats got injured during typhoon day and they have been hiding. C1698-Becca has a long cut wound from the face to the upper chest. She is staying with us under medication and treatment. C1699-Butch’s right hind leg was broken. He was sent to a clinic and is staying there for surgery. Please help us to help them! Anima–September Rescue (SPP1925-Stefan)!

<04-09-2017> SPP1925-Stefan (M), around three years old,  now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 4th September 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that a dog was hit by a car in a site. SPP1925-Stefan was sent to a clinic for consultation and subject to an x-ray. The report showed that he is paralysed as his spine was broken. According to the vet, there is not much chance that he can walk again even if he has a surgery. Anima has not capacity to handle this situation  in its shelter as Anima has  around 400 dogs and 300 cats in its shelters and has  only 21 handlers and no space at all for him! We can’t provide a suitable environment for him in our overcrowded shelter and he is in pain unless under sedation. We have asked other animal welfare associations if they have capacity to handle this case, but they...

Anima–September Rescue and Sad News (1924-Aida)!

<03-09-2017> 1924-Aida (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd September 2017, after a call from Mr. Chio around 2 am reporting that a dog was hit by a car in Seac Pac Van and was unable to move. Mr. Chio sent 1924-Aida to a clinic but she couldn’t make it. She passed away in the morning, and the cause of death was internal bleeding. R.I.P. my friend! Thanks Mr. Chio! Anima–August Rescue (SPP1923-Box)!

<24-08-2017> SPP1923-Box (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 24th August 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that four dogs were injured in a site due to typhoon Hato. Ms. Hoi brought one of them to a clinic and asked us to help the other three dogs. She managed to catch SPP1923-Box today. SPP1923-Box was limping and he was checked in our clinic. He was returned to his place after medication prescribed. Ms. Hoi will help us to catch the other two dogs. She is responsible for them in that area. Anima–August Rescue (1922-Obama)!

<24-08-2017> 1922-Obama (M), around seven months old, was rescued by Anima on 24th August 2017, after a call from our staff reporting that a dog was wandering alone near Anima. 1922-Obama was friendly and hungry! No microchip was found on him. As we are completely full, 1922-Obama was delivered to IACM for adoption. We will keep an eye on him and when we have an opportunity we will collect him back! Anima–August Rescue and Return (SPP1406-Money)!

<22-08-2017> SPP1406-Money (F), on the time around 4.5 years old that was under our Special Protection Program since 7th February 2015, lives in a friendly association, somewhere in Coloane. We were informed that Money had been vomiting in the morning. We found some onion in her food bowl, suspected to have onion toxicity. She was brought to Anima and checked by our vet. A report showed that everything was alright, and we will keep an eye on her in the next few days. She was returned to her former place after consultation. Today we were informed that Money was limping. She has skin problem and also some bruises were found in the leg. Money is backed to her place after medication prescribed. Please help us to help them! Anima–August Rescue (SPPC1694-SPPC1697)!

<22-08-2017> SPPC1694-Judd (M), around five months old, SPPC1695-Kim (M), around three months old, SPPC1696-Kirk (M) and SPPC1697-Kyra (F), both around four months old, are now under our Special Protection Program, after being rescued by Anima on 22nd August 2017, through Michele, reporting that four kittens needed medication support. SPPC1694-Judd’s left eye seems blind already and he also has nasal and ocular discharge. He is staying with us under medication and observation. SPPC1695-Kim, SPPC1696-Kirk and SPPC1697-Kyra, all healthy,  were back to their place after dewormed. Michele is responsible for them in that area. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Anima–August Rescue (1921-Vance)!

<17-08-2017> 1921-Vance (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th August 2017, after a call from Ms. Faye reporting that there was a sick dog in Centro de Conferências de Choc Van. 1921-Vance was checked in our clinic. He has severe skin problem. He is staying with us under treatment now and will be kept by us until adoption. These are animals in risk that according to our Code of Ethics we must allways collect! Anima–August Rescue (SPPC1181-Davian)!

<17-08-2017> SPPC1181-Davian (M), was rescued by Anima through Michele on 29th April 2016, being around one month old and came back to Anima on 7 March 2017 for consultation. Davian had gingivitis and felt pain when eating. The gums were very red and inflamed. On 24th March 2017, he came again for the same reason. Davian was rescued again on 18th May 2017, and brought to Anima for consultation. He continues to have gingivitis. SPPC1181-Davian stayed in V6 for treatment and observation. Today he came again as his gingivitis is getting worse. He was back to his place after medication prescribed. Michele is responsible for him in that area. Thanks Michele! Please help us to help them! Anima–August Rescue and IACM Cooperation (R038-Haskell)!

<15-08-2017> R038-Haskell (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 15th August 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space in the kennel as they need that space for more rescues. R038-Haskell was neutered and dewormed. He is staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise now. Anima and IACM are cooperating in order to save as many animals as possible! Thanks IACM!
