Anima – February Adoption (C1117-Minerva)!

C1117-Minerva was rescued by Anima on 5th February 2016 after a call from Mr. Silva reporting that C1117-Minerva was found on the road at Vila de Coloane. He was worried that C1117-Minerva would have an accident and brought her to Anima. Minerva was now adopted by Ms. Catarina. She is also the adopter of C674-Ebony! Thanks Ms. Catarina! February Return and Abandonment (C1111-Hermis)!

Hermis was returned to Anima by the adopter. C1111-Hermis was rescued by Anima on 24th January 2016, after a call from our president, Mr. Albano reporting that a kitten was found in the door of his condominium last night, hungry and very cold! C1111-Hermis stayed overnight in his house and was brought to Anima the next morning. Hermis was adopted on 6th February 2016. According to the adopter, Hermis was aggressive and always destroyed the furniture in his house. His wife could not get along with Hermis after she got bitten by Hermis, so they decided to return Hermis to us. We disagree with the adopter’s decision but we want the best for the cat. Anima – February Adoption (C1080-Drake)!

C1080-Drake was rescued by Anima on 1st December 2015 after a call from Ms. Leah reporting that C1080-Drake was rescued by her two years ago and was with her up to now. According to her, Drake became more aggressive and began to bully another cat. She asked if we can keep him. We decided to help Drake even disagreeing with the owner. SPPC1128-Maxi and SPPC1129-Smokey, around nine months old, now under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima after a call from Michele reporting that Maxi and Smokey live somewhere in Taipa under Michele’s responsibility. February Rescue and Abandonment (C1124 and C1125)!

C1124-Wai Wai and C1125-Mimi, around 7.5 years old, were rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Sek reporting that C1124-Wai Wai and C1125-Mimi originally belonged to his father, who passed away last year. His father’s will was that someone could take care of the cats. Mr. Sek inherited his will and had been feeding them for a while, but he decided would be better if the cats were taken care by us. Anima – February Rescue (C1123-Cintia)!

C1123-Cintia, around three years old, was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Vanessa reporting that a female cat was found shaking, with a big belly and skin problem on the street somewhere in Macau. Our rescue team went to the site and found the female cat and two other kittens in a car park nearby. According to an employee of the car park, the cats had been living inside the car park together since a week ago. He asked us to collect the cats. Anima – Apple Daily News of Hong Kong Has Visited Us!

Today 13 people visited us, two were reporters from Apple Daily News of Hong Kong that stayed with us for one full day! They came to interview Anima regarding our daily job! They follow-up our rescue team in the morning and afternoon paid a detailed visit to our shelter and interviewed our President. Anima talked about the four main policies of Anima: No Kill, No Cage, Group Housing and rescue mainly animals in risk! Also our President referred that because of the first policy it is difficult for Anima to rescue all types of animals as Anima is completely full! Everyday Anima must need to be creative to find solutions for still continuing to rescue animals in danger and socialize them afterwards as space is very limited! Anima – February 14th Adoption Day!

Beginning in February 2016, Anima will hold two adoption days outside of Anima on the second and last Sunday of every month. Around 60 people have visited us at Flower City in Taipa today! We were supported by 10 volunteers, Lily, Kris, Angelica, Hou, Cecilia, Vicky, Martha, Iris, Teresa and Ruby, and we took nine of our dogs. Today in the adoption day we received three volunteer applications and two applications for godparent! Please do not buy, Adopt! Anima – February Adoption (C1090-Shadie)!

C1090-Shadie was rescued by Anima on 23rd December 2015, after a call from Ms. Gina reporting that someone had two cats at home but they were being aggressive with a three years old ginger cat. We decided to collect C1090-Shadie and the other cat as the family was not able to handle the situation. Shadie was now adopted by Ms. Lao. Thanks Ms. Lao! Please Adopt and Never buy! Anima- After English and Chinese, Portuguese is coming!

Anima has a home facebook page with the maximum number of friends: 5,000! Because of that we created one cause page in Chinese where we shared all Chinese and English posts. Now these pages are fully feed by our website in both English and Chinese! We only need to answer our friends' questions in both facebook pages! On March 12, 2016, Anima will launch its website page in Portuguese. So, you can choose online for any of these three languages. All past data will be as soon as possible recovered in Portuguese just as continues to happen in Chinese website that was launched six months after the English! From that day on, we will have also a facebook cause page in Portuguese where all our posts in Portuguese will be released!
