Anima–March Adoption (1968-Mack)!

<17-03-2018> Mack was adopted by Ms. Winnie Fok, the wife of our Chief  Executive, on 17th March 2018! 1965-Madonna (F) with her three puppies, 1966-Mekenna (F), 1967-Maddox (M) and 1968-Mack (M), were rescued by Anima on 6th January 2018 when the puppies were around two weeks old, after a call from our rescue team reporting that they found a dog that gave birth to new puppies during their daily feeding in a site. We used to have an old man, as our volunteer, taking care of the dogs in that area. The old man passed away, so we collected them. 1968-Mack has stayed with us and was now adopted. Ms. winnie Fok has visited us on 13th March afternoon time and stayed with us for around 1.5 hours, playing with animals and talking to our President and staff. She authorized us to tell to the community that we must adopt and not buy!...

Anima–March Rescue (C1863-Querida)!

 <16-03-2018> C1863-Querida (F), around one month old, was rescued by Anima on 16th March 2018, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that she found an injured cat C1863-Querida that was suspected fell down from a building in Rua de Barca. She asked us for help. C1863-Querida was sent to a clinic. She was very weak. C1863-Querida is now fostered by our staff Zoe as she needs milk feeding. Thanks Ms. Lam and Ms. Zoe! C1814-Manoel (M), was rescued by Anima on 26th December 2017 when he was around one month old, after a call from Mr. Lam reporting that a kitten was tied to a dog house which was abandoned in the park long time ago. Anima–March Return to Family (1625-Wallace)!

<15-03-2018> Wallace was returned to the family after accommodating in Anima since 1st December 2017. 1625-Wallace was adopted by Mr. Mário Rui on 13th February 2016. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Anima–March Rescue (C1862-Dag)!

<15-03-2018> C1862-Dag (M), around 1.5 months old, was rescued by Anima on 15th March 2018, after a call from Mr. Mok reporting that he found a new born kitten C1862-Dag in Rua das Estalagens. He put C1862-Dag in a box and waited for our rescue team. C1862-Dag was collected, checked by us and dewormed. C1862-Dag has upper respiratory infection with sever ocular and nasal discharge. Anima–March Rescue (C1861-Ulla)!

<14-03-2018> C1861-Ulla (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 14th March 2018, after a call from Mr. Chio reporting that a kitten C1861-Ulla was trapped between the fence and the wall in his building last night. He was able to rescue her and kept her for one night. Then he asked us for help. C1861-Ulla was collected and checked by us. C1861-Ulla has skin problems and was in low temperature. Anima-Caritas Macau visited us!

<12-03-2018> Today, 34 people visited us, 25 of them were from Caritas Macau that came to our Cats’ Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to February 2018, Anima received 927 visitors, ten groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in two events! Anima–March Sad News (C1755-Farah)!

<12-03-2018> C1755-Farah (F), together with C1751-Faas (M), C1752-Faddy (M), C1753-Fabienne (F), C1754-Fairfax (M), C1756-Fedora (F), C1757-Feri (M), C1758-Femke (F) and C1759-Feray (F), were rescued by Anima on 10th November 2017, after a call from IACM reporting that they don’t have enough space for the cats. They were all vaccinated by IACM. C1755-Farah had fever, nasal and ocular discharge problems at that time. On 10th March 2018 we sent her to a vet for second opinion. C1755-Farah was in low temperature and dehydrated. The blood test showed she had renal failure. C1755-Farah also had minor jaundice, hemolysis and cat flu. She was apathetic, refused to eat and was some blood was coming out from the gums. She started having seizure and became unconscious. Her condition became worse and she entered in suffer. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision...
