Anima-December Sad News (473-Leg Leg)!

473-Leg Leg (M), with an estimated age of nine years old now, passed away today due to cancer.
Leg Leg was found getting slim and not eating much since one week ago.
We found a hard lump when we were palpating his belly and he seemed in pain.
He was sent to a clinic for further examination and observation.
According to the vet, there was a tumor located near his bowel and artery. The surgery was too risky and Leg Leg might not survive during the surgery.
Leg Leg was then transferred to a second clinic for another opinion.
According to the second vet, the cancer had spread to his lung, liver and kidney already, there was no chance for him to survive.
After discussed with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep.
Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision!
Leg Leg was one of the dogs that had stayed with us for the longest time!
He was a very friendly and active dog.
He liked to jump to us and walked around even he only had three legs.
He was the one always greeting our visitors in front of the entrance.
We all miss you!
