Anima–January Rescue (SPPC1711, SPPC1825)!

<18-01-2018> SPPC1711-Abigail (F), was under our Special Protection Program, when she was around four months old, after rescued by Anima on 12th September 2017, by a call from Michele reporting that a kitten needed medical support. SPPC1711-Abigail had high fever with sonorous breathing, ocular discharge and upper respiratory tract infections. She was back to her place after medication prescribed. SPPC1825-Ubon (F), around eight months old, under our SPP Program now, was rescued by Anima on 18th January 2018, after a call from Michele reporting that a cat needed to be spayed. Rescue and Cooperation with IACM (1980-Pinta Preta)!

<17-01-2018> 1980-Pinta Preta (M), around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 17th January 2018, after a call from Mr. Luis reporting that IACM was trying to catch a dog near airport since 23rd November because he was chasing the cars. 1980-Pinta Preta was caught by IACM on 5th December. He stayed in the kennel for quarantine and neuter. He was transferred to Coloane Kennel today and is under our staff management. All animals in Coloane Kennel have play times as this is a principle in Anima. No animal is caged. IACM and Anima are cooperating in order to avoid the killing of so many animals. Anima–January Sad News (C1815-Lenna)!

<16-01-2018> C1815-Lenna (F), was rescued by Anima on 30th December 2017, when she was around three months old, after a call from Mr. Cheng reporting that a kitten was found dying in his building of Edificio San Mei On. C1815-Lenna was very weak with head tilt, drooling, and both eyes had an infection. She was sent to a clinic immediately. She needed to stay in the clinic overnight for observation. According to the clinic, she was diagnosed with cat flu, herpes virus and later infected with parvovirus. We were informed by the clinic that there was nothing much they could do for C1815-Lenna. As she began to enter in suffer, after discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Anima–January Sad News (910-Lara)!

<16-01-2018> 910-Lara (F), around six years old now, with her mother 911-Lucy, two sibling, 908-Kimberly and 909-Lala, were rescued by Anima on 22nd September 2012, after a call from Ms. Anita reporting that some dogs needed our help. 908-Kimberly and 909-Lala passed away on October 2012 due to tick fever. 910-Lara and 911-Lucy stayed with us since that day. 910-Lara had been getting skinny no matter how much she ate. She was diagnosed having diabetes for over half a year. She was sent to several clinic for treatment but her condition was still on and off. 910-Lara had been fighting so long for spending more time with us. She was found having bloody diarrhea, difficulty to breathe and not able to move today. She also had seizures when she was sent to the clinic. We all know that she was very tired to walk that far. Anima–January Adoption (C1714-Brea)!

<15-01-2018> Brea was adopted by Mr. Hui on 15th January 2018! C1714-Brea (F),  was rescued by Anima on 21st September 2017, when she was around one month old, after a call from Mr. Fan reporting that a kitten was found near a restaurant with an eye infection. He collected C1714-Brea and asked us for help. C1714-Brea was checked and dewormed. She had severe upper respiratory infection, difficulty in breathing, dehydration and hypothermia. She stayed at the clinic and needed force feeding. C1714-Brea recovered and  has stayed with us until now. Thanks Mr. Hui! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (1972-1979)!

<15-01-2018> The mother, 1972-Zanna (F), around two years old, with the puppies, 1973-Zandra (F), 1974-Zalla (F), 1975-Zavia (F), 1976-Zena (F), 1977-Zavier (M), 1978-Zeno (M) and 1979-Zeki (M), all around two days old, were rescued by Anima on 15th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Kuok reporting that a mother dog gave birth to seven puppies. 1975-Zavia and 1976-Zena passed away before we arrived. <13-01-2018> Today, 52 people visited us, 16 of them were from Escola Dom Luis Versiglia that came to our Cat’s Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 7%! Anima–January Sad News (C1231-Mateo)!

<12-01-2018> The siblings, C1230-Mat and C1231-Mateo (M), were rescued by Anima on 8th July 2016 when they were around one year old, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that these cats were living in the car park of Nam Sun Garden Building. C1231-Mateo stayed with us since that day. He was getting sick one week ago. Blood test showed that he had renal problems. He had been under medication and dripping. Anima– Rescue and Sad News (1971-Siu Wong Chai)!

<12-01-2018> 1971-Siu Wong Chai (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima already dead on 12th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs. There were one mother, one father and five puppies living over that area. One of the puppies was found dead few days ago due to the cold weather. The father, 1971-Siu Wong Chai, disappeared for two days. Our rescue team went to the place with Ms. Lo to check the puppies and found the body of 1971-Siu Wong Chai. Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1970-Chai Chai)!

<12-01-2018> SPP1970-Chai Chai (M), around eight months old, was under our special protection program, when was rescued by Anima on 12th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Kuok reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in a site and one of them ate rat poison. SPP1970-Chai Chai was weak and had difficulty to breathe. He was sent to a clinic immediately. Blood test showed that SPP1970-Chai Chai had anemia and he had blood in the chest.
