Anima–July Sad News (H061-Guara)!

<03-07-2021> H055-Star Fruit (M), H056-MangoSteen (M), H057-JuJuBe (M), H058-Rambutan (M), H059-Physalis (M), H060-Sapodilla (M), H061-Guara (M), H062-Golden Apple (M), all around 3 months old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 2nd June 2020, after received a message on Facebook by Mr. Hong, reporting that 8 hamsters were found abandoned in the park of Edf. Lok Kuan (Seac Pai Van) in a cage. He asked us to help. H055-Star Fruit, H056-MangoSteen, H057-JuJuBe, H058-Rambutan, H059-Physalis, H060-Sapodilla, H061-Guara, H062-Golden Apple were consulted in Anima. All of them stay in our Dogs’ Shelter. Today, H061-Guara passed away peacefully from old age. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-July Rescue (SPP2373, SPP2374)!

<03-07-2021> Three dogs under our SPP program received assistance from Anima on 19th June 2021. SPP2373-Aerobic (M), SPP2374-Queen (F) and SPP2375-MoMo (F), all between two and three years old, live in a Ka-Ho car shop under Mr. Ng's responsibility. They were registered under our SPP program the day before, when Mr. Ng has asked us for help as Aerobic showed up with a head injury. Queen and MoMo also have health issues and have been losing weight. Our team managed to rescue Aerobic and Queen and sent them to a clinic. The wounds of Aerobic were treated and he returned to his original site after consultation. SPP2374-Queen, however, had severe anemia and a blood transfusion was needed. She tested positive for Ehrlichia, Babesia Canis and Anaplasma. One of our dogs, 1607-Eerika, was brought to the clinic for blood donation. Anima-June New SPP Dog (SPP2376-Sai B)!

<30-06-2021> SPP2376-Sai B (F), around one year old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP) on 30th June 2021. She was under Ms. Chan’s responsibility since 26th June 2021, in the construction site at Povoação de Lai Chi Vun. Anima helped with food and sterilization surgery to prevent pregnancy. Anima-June New SPP Cat (SPPC2593-Isabel II)!

<29-06-2021> SPPC2593-Isabel II (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 29th June 2021, through Ms. Carla’s help reporting that she found a new cat that was skinny and limping in the Patio where she works on Calçada da Igreja de São Lázaro. She asked us help. A cat trap was lent, and SPPC2593-Isabel II was collected to go to a clinic. X-ray exams showed a left leg fracture. SPPC2593-Isabel II stays in the clinic for further procedures. Anima–June Abandonment (C956-Meijo)!

<28-06-2021> C956-Meijo was rescued by Anima on 27th May 2015 after a call from Mr. Ieong reporting that three kittens with their mother were found in his place at Estrada do Cemitério. Meijo was adopted on 14th January 2016. Recently, her family got personal issues to solve. They needed to go back to their country and cannot effort the transportation of Meijo with them. When these types of situations appeared in life there are many other solutions to solve the problem. Feel free to contact animal associations or IAM for further information. Thank you! Anima-June Rescue (C2589-Mollie)!

<24-06-2021> C2589-Mollie (F), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 24th June 2021, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that two cats were official abandoned by their owner who was admitted into a senior home half year ago. The cats have been wandering in the streets back then, where some neighbors and Ms. Wong started to feed them since April. Recently the cats have entered in an abandon building and could not come out. Ms. Wong asked us to help. Our Rescue team arrive to lend the cat trap and the lady showed the area where only a ginger female cat was living in. As the cat seems to have given birth to a litter recently, our rescue team informed Ms. Wong that we could not collect her yet, until the kittens can survive on their own. Anima–June Sad News (C2173-Micah)!

<22-06-2021> C2173-Micah (F), one of our cats from Cats’ Paradise, was found with sick and getting skinny in these last days. Yesterday, Micah had urinary incontinence and fell. She has been under treatment due to various issues including pancreatitis and recurring URI, with heavy nasal discharge. Even after a clinic consultation, where Micah was also diagnosed with abdominal ascites, there is not much that could be done to help her, except easy the pain. Unfortunately, and despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. Her body will be later delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
