Anima–March Sad News (605-Yogi)!

<13-03-2022> Sadly, our senior dog 605-Yogi has passed away. Yogi was almost 12 years old and had been living in our shelter since 2010. Recently, he was hospitalized due to heart problem with Pericardial Effusion. A Pericardiocentesis was performed to remove the fluids surrounding the heart of Yogi. This morning, however, his condition continued to deteriorate and the Pericardial Effusion has returned. Following veterinary advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Yogi was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-Volunteer Society of UM Students Union helped us!

<12-03-2022> Today, we were visited by 77 people, of which 16 were from Volunteer Society of UM Students Union. The group gave us a precious help volunteering at Cats’ Paradise. Our heartfelt thanks for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima–March Rescue (C2699-Roy)!

<12-03-2022> C2699-Roy (M), a cat around 10 months old, was rescued by Anima today. We received a Facebook message from Ms. Tang reporting that a cat with collar has been wandering around Avenida do Conselheiro Borja for several days. Many people have posted pictures of the cat on Facebook, but no owner claimed the cat. With the help of Ms. Tang, Roy was rescued and welcomed into Cats’ Paradise. No microchip was detected.
