Anima-October Sad News (C2315-Titan)!

<24-10-2020> C2315-Titan (M), around two years old, was rescued by Anima on the 20th March 2020, following a call from I.A.M. (Macau Kennel) asking for our help since they were overcrowded and without space for new cats. Titan was then rescued and welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise. A few months later, however, he revealed some signs of health issues and was sent to a clinic earlier this month where he was tested positive for FCoV and diagnosed with a high chance of having FIP. His health condition indeed deteriorated fast and, following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Titan was euthanized today, in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-October Return and Rescue (1502-Saskia)!

<21-10-2020> 1502-Saskia (F), a dog around nine years old, was originally rescued by Anima on 21st July 2015, when she was four years old, being found limping in Rua do Visconde Paço de Arcos. She would recover and was adopted on 16th December 2016. Sadly, she was returned to our shelter on 19th December 2016, as the adopter claimed his daughter had an allergy. On 26th January 2017, she would be adopted once again, by a different adopter. Recently, in the beginning of this month, we received a call from Saskia adopter's mother claiming that Saskia has behaviour problems, bites things at home, including furniture, and even wounded herself. They claimed to have taken Saskia to a clinic and an animal trainer already, without improvements. We informed that returning Saskia to a shelter wouldn’t, unfortunately, minimize the issue. <18-10-2020> Today, we were visited by 78 people, of which nine were from Manner Culture Ltd, who were part of a visit to both our Dogs’ Shelter and Cats’ Paradise! Anima–October Adoption (C2399-Gracie)!

<17-10-2020> Gracie was adopted by Ms. Maria Ernestina, today! C2399-Gracie (F), around five months old, was rescued by Anima on 7th October 2020, after Mr. Mak had passed by Cats’ Paradise and asked whether we could accept a cat he had just rescued two days ago, wandering near his house. Due to his work schedule, he couldn’t take care of her. C2399-Gracie was then welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Gracie was adopted by Ms. Maria Ernestina! Thanks, Ms. Maria Ernestina! Anima-October Rescue (2308-Kenji)!

<17-10-2020> 2308-Kenji (M), a Bichon Frisé around seven years old, was rescued by Anima today, following a message from Ms. Septi on Facebook reporting to have found a dog in A-Ma Temple last night. A friend of Ms. Septi took care of Kenji temporarily. No microchip was detected and, given the lack of options, we have welcomed him at our Dogs' Shelter. We hope Kenji finds an adopter soon! Anima-October Rescue (C2409-C2414)!

<11-10-2020> C2409-Lorrie (F), around two years old, C2410-Lawrence (M), around eight months old, C2411-Lilian (F), around seven months old, as well as C2412-Lumi (F) and C2413-Lucia (F), both around two years old, were all rescued by Anima on the 11th October 2020, from the cages where they were found without minimum living conditions, inside the interior patio of a building in Macau. One other cat, C2414-Kaya (gender and age to be identified), was also rescued, caught while roaming freely over the site. This was the second day of an extensive rescue operation in a site identified by our rescue team on the previous days and under the responsibility of an elderly lady in Macau. All of them were welcomed at our Cats’ Paradise and are currently under quarantine. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering!
