<09-08-2020> SPP2300-Brianna (F), around 10 months old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th August 2020. Sister of SPP2298-Beckie, SPP2234-Benson and SPP2236-Betzy, she will be under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in Parque Industrial da Concórdia. Anima–August Rescue (C2374-Ulrich)!

<09-08-2020> C2374-Ulrich (M), around four months old, was rescued by Anima on 9th August 2020, following a call from Mr. Wong reporting that a kitten was lying down near Rua Quatro Do Barro Da Areia Preta, not moving. He asked us for help. Our rescue team went to the site and found Ulrich dehydrated, with a big wound on his left chin, as well as heavy ocular and nasal discharge. He was immediately sent to a clinic and will stay hospitalized for a few days Thanks for your warning call, Mr. Wong! Please help us to help them! Anima–August Return (SPP2284-Simba)!

<08-08-2020> SPP2284-Simba (M), around one year old, is under our Special Protection Program since the 13th June, 2020 after a call from Ms. Chao reporting that a dog was found on the side of a road in Macau, without leash and harness. Our rescue team went to the site and verified that he had no microchip. Due to the lack of space in our shelter, Simba had to stay under Ms. Chao’s temporary foster care and Anima have supported a desex surgery. For these last months, Ms. Chao has taken care of Simba and even generously provided training in order to smooth his adaptation to his future forever home. Ms. Chao, however, already has two dogs and was unable to keep him for a long term. We finally managed to get some space for Simba and he is now in our shelter. We are grateful for your...

Anima–August Sad News (C1676-Lynn)!

<08-08-2020> C1676-Lynn (F), around three years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 27th July 2017, together with three other cats, after a call from I.A.M. reporting that they didn’t have enough space to keep them in Macau kennel. They were welcome at our Cats’ Paradise. Today, C1676-Lynn was suddenly found lying inactive on the floor. She was immediately checked and neither breathe nor heartbeat were detected. Anima-Macau Flying Eagle Association visited us!

<02-08-2020> Today, we were visited by 65 people from Macau Flying Eagle Association at our Cat’s Paradise, of which 58 were students and seven teachers! Thanks for your strong support! Anima-August Return (C2233-Brook)!

<01-08-2020> C2233-Brook (M), around one month old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 16th November 2019, after a call reporting that one kitten was found abandoned in a box. He was sent to a clinic and was then welcome at our Cat's Paradise. Brook would later be adopted on 14th May 2020. Recently, however, the adopter has complained about his behavior and it seems that he wasn’t able to fully adapt to his new home successfully. C2233-Brook was returned to Anima today. Anima-August Sad News (C1236-Carr)!

<01-08-2020> C1236-Carr (M), around five months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2016, following a call reporting that four cats were in Pou Tai Un Temple but some people in the area were not friendly and did not allow them to be fed. C1236-Carr and three other cats were then rescued and sent to our Cat’s Paradise. Found very skinny and de-hydrated on 30th July 2020, he was sent to a clinic for checking. He was tested positive for Pancreatitis. After a couple days, we were informed today by the clinic that he has passed away. R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima-August Sad News (415-Kira)!

<01-08-2020> On 20th May 2020, it was reported by our handler that 415-Kira couldn’t stand up and was showing lack of appetite. She was sent to a clinic for consultation on the following day. Blood test results revealed urinary tract infection and X-rays showed that she had bone spurs. Her condition worsened very quickly and, despite all medical care, she progressed from limping to paralysis. She also suffered with the several pressure sores on her body. Weak and in constant need of force feeding, her health deterioration was irreversible and her life seemed to have become too distressing. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. The last decision is always from the President of Anima and it is always very hard to make! R.I.P. our friend! Never abandon your pets! Anima-Melco Volunteer Team helped us!

<26-07-2020> Today, 52 people have visited us, of which five were volunteers from Melco Resorts Volunteer Team who came to our Cat’s Paradise to do volunteer work! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more people engage in Anima! In 2019, we had 7,487 visitors, a decrease of 13% as compared with 8,612 in 2018! 104 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in eight events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to June 2020, Anima received 185 visitors, 6 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in 23 events! Anima–July Sad News (B156-Suli)!

<26-07-2020> B156-Suli was rescued by Anima on 9th July 2020, following a call by a lady reporting that she picked up a baby bird near MGM Cotai on the way to work. She reported having seen a bird nest nearby, but inaccessible. Our Rescue team sent Suli directly to a clinic for treatment and it was reported in the same afternoon that Suli was still active and with good appetite. The next day, however, we were informed that he was still unable to survive in the wild and had to stay hospitalized for a longer period. Unfortunately, the clinic informed us today that B156-Suli has passed away of unknown cause. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
