Anima–April Adoption (1964-Buddy)!

<15-04-2018> Buddy was adopted by Ms. Rita on 15th April 2018! 1964-Buddy (M), was rescued by Anima on 1st January 2018 when he was around one year old, after a call from our rescue team reporting that they found a dog tied up in a site during their daily feeding. According to the worker in the site, 1964-Buddy was abandoned by his owner in the site. The worker asked our help as he was afraid Buddy will be killed by the truks if he untied Buddy. 1964-Buddy has staying with us and was now adopted. Thanks Ms. Rita! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima-Sheung Kung Hui Youth Service visited us!

<14-04-2018> Today, 81 people visited us, 14 of them were from Sheung Kung Hui “We-Connect” Hidden Internet Addiction Youth Service Pilot Program that came to our Cats’ Paradise! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to March 2018, Anima received 2261 visitors, 25 groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in three events! Anima–April Sad News (SPPC1195-Dessa)!

<14-04-2018> SPPC1195-Dessa (F),  under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima through Michele on 18th May 2016 when she was around two years old, after a call from her reporting that Dessa needed to be de-sexed. SPPC1195-Dessa had returned to her place after de-sex surgery. On 10th March 2018 she was checked by our staff and was diagnosed liver problem. She was found getting skinny and anemic. Unfortunately SPPC1195-Dessa was found passed away this morning. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–April Adoption (C1623-Barnabas)!

<14-04-2018> Barnabas was adopted by Mr. Manuel on 14th April 2018! C1623-Barnabas (M) and C1622-Berenice (F), were rescued by Anima on 1st July 2017 when they were around five months old, after a call from Ms. Leong reporting that two cats were kept in a cage for half an year in a restaurant of Macau. According to Ms. Leong, the owner only fed them with remaining fish bones. We collected them to our Cats’ Paradise. C1623-Barnabas has stayed with us and was now adopted. Thanks Mr. Manuel! Anima–April Rescue (2021-Paul Pinto)!

<14-04-2018> 2021-Paul Pinto (M), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 14th April 2018, after a call from the owner informing that the dog was aggressive to her family and kids.  According to her her youngest son was bitten by 2021-Paul Pinto and she was worried about that. Anima- Please Help us! Do not let Anima die!

<13-04-2018> Dear friends, Every year we begin our activity with accumulated debts. In 2018, we opened with debts carried forward of MOP 2,409,018.04, a consequence of our increased activity. As you know, Anima runs two shelters and thousands of animals in sites, and helps IACM handling the dogs in Coloane Kennel. The food and cleaning materials are provided by IACM and the staff by Anima! These animals are kept alive even if they belong to IACM! This was our agreement! A good agreement! Our expenses last year totalized around 10 million patacas but we were able to generate almost the same money to pay the bills but not the accumulated debts. However, this year the scenario seems very complicated as the funds we usual receive in the beginning of the year to pay accumulated debts and the expenses of the first months may not come. Anima–April Sad News (SPP1935-Keelan)!

<13-04-2018> SPP1935-Keelan (F), was under our Special Protection Program since 14th October 2017 when she was around eight months old, was rescued by anima on 8th April 2018 after a call from Ms. Peng informing that SPP1935-Keelan was lethargic, paralyzed and with seizures. SPP1935-Keelan was sent to a clinic immediately. The result showed that she has Canine Distemper. SPP1935-Keelan stayed at the clinic for close observation and treatment. SPP1935-Keelan was suffering from seizures and the virus started attacking the nerve system. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – April Rescue (SPP1704-Dorie)!

<13-04-2018> The mother dog SPP1700-Debbie (F) and her five puppies,  SPP1701-Darlin (F), SPP1702-Delina (F), SPP1703-Demi (F), SPP1704-Dorie (F) and SPP1705-Darcy,  under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 17th April 2016.
