Anima–March Rescue (C1857-Alivia)!

<10-03-2018> C1857-Alivia (F), around seven months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th March 2018, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that a cat, C1857-Alivia, was hiding at the back of the air-conditioner in her shop and seemed got injured. The area that C1857-Alivia was hiding, was very deep down away and very difficult to reach her. Our rescue team also contacted the Fire Department for assistance. According to the witness, C1857-Alivia had fallen down from a building and made a loud noise this morning. C1857-Alivia was rescued  was sent to a clinic immediately. The x-ray showed that her left elbow was fractured. She had internal bleeding and has difficulty to breath. According to the vet, surgery can only be performed when her condition becomes stable. Anima–March Sad News (C826-Bonito)!

<09-03-2018> C826-Bonito (M), was rescued by Anima on 26th October 2014 when he was around one year old, after a call from Mrs. King saying that she caught a cat C826-Bonito in Macau. She asked us for help. C826-Bonito was checked and spayed, then he stayed with us since that time. Recently C826-Bonito was found with a black tongue. He became weak and had low temperature. C826-Bonito was sent to a clinic. AIt was caused by a toxin inside his body that could not be filtered by kidneys. C826-Bonito had also a renal failure. The blood vessels of C826-Bonito were all damaged due to long term under dripping. He was suffering due to organ failure. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help...

Anima-The International School of Macao visited us!

<09-03-2018> Today, 34 people visited us, 22 of them were from The International School of Macao that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us. We were in 34 events organized by friends or by us! This year, up to February 2018, Anima received 927 visitors, ten groups of schools, companies and associations and we have been out in two events! Thank you for trusting us and supporting our work! Anima–March Sad News (885-Nicas)!

<09-03-2018> 885-Nicas (F), was rescued by Anima on 18th September 2012 at IACM, with all her family, around 25 dogs! She had stayed with us since that time. On 3rd January 2018 it was found a swelling near her anus and she was sent to a clinic for second opinion. It was found a dribble of blood during the observation. The X-ray showed she had a large bladder stone. A surgery was performed on 7th January and she returned to us afterwards. However, the swelling part near her anus was getting bigger. The cancer had already spread to her brain and spine. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–March Adoption (C1672-Hayden)!

<08-03-2018> Hayden was adopted by Mr. Lai on 8th March 2018! C1672-Hayden (M), C1673-Hector (M) and C1674-Heath (M), were rescued by Anima on 25th July 2017 when all were around one month old, after a call from Ms. Kan reporting that four kittens were trapped in the trail of Small Taipa. They were checked by our staff, dewormed and stayed at Cats’ Paradise. C1672-Hayden was now adopted. Thanks Mr. Lai! Please Adopt and never Buy! If you adopt you are helping animals in risk! Anima–March Sad News (B092-Sunshine)!

<08-03-2018> B092-Sunshine was rescued by Anima on 6th  March 2018, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that a pigeon B092-Sunshine was found near the sidewalk of Rua Um do Bairro Iao Hon and was unable to fly. He asked us for help. B092-Sunshine was sent to a clinic. B092-Sunshine was very weak and need to stay at the clinic for force feeding. Unfortunately we were informed that B092-Sunshine passed away  this afternoon. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–March Adoption (C1851-Arlan)!

<07-03-2018> Arlan was adopted by Mr. Francisco Leandro, our Board Member, on 7th March 2018! C1851-Arlan (M), was rescued by Anima on 16th February 2018 when he was around eight months old, at the entrance of Cat Paradise when our staff arrived at work. C1851-Arlan was inside a carrier and was  abandoned. He was checked by our vet and dewormed. He has stayed with us and was now adopted. Thanks Mr. Francisco! Please Adopt and never Buy! Anima–Return to nature (B091-Braga)!

<06-03-2018> B091-Braga was rescued by Anima on 2nd March 2018, after a call from Ms. Lei reporting that a pigeon B091-Braga was found on the road of Rua de Bragança and was unable to fly. She asked us for help. B091-Braga was sent to a clinic. B091-Braga was dehydrated and starved. B091-Braga had stayed at the clinic  being force feeding. Braga has recovered and released in the trail near our shelter today! Fly free my friend! Please help us to help them! Anima–March Sad News (SPP1950-Yellow)!

<06-03-2018> SPP1950-Yellow (M), under our Special Protection Program since 17th December 2017, was rescued by Anima on 22nd February 2018 when he was  around one year and three months old, after a call from Mr. Ho reporting that SPP1950-Yellow was found unable to move and  was crying in pain. He asked us for help. According to Mr. Ho, he suspected that SPP1950-Yellow was caught for stealing food and was beaten by somebody. SPP1950-Yellow was sent to a clinic immediately. The X-ray showed that he has no bone fracture. He was suspected having neurologic problem. SPP1950-Yellow stayed at the clinic for dripping and observation. He returned and stayed at our shelter from 24th February for observation. Today we found SPP1950-Yellow not eating well, having difficulty in breathing and  in high fever. He was sent to a clinic immediately and got a second opinion from another vet. The X-ray showed he has Intervertebral Disc Disease. The blood test showed the...
