Anima–August Sad News (C334-Hoover)!

<02-08-2017> C332-Basha, C334-Hoover and C609-Grita, were rescued by Anima on 9th April 2012, 11th April 2012 and 19th October 2013, respectively, and adopted on 20th May 2012 (Basha and Hoover) and 17th January 2014 (Grita) by the same adopter. The first two were rescued through Michele and the third one was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Ao. They were returned to Anima as the adopter informed us that her daughter's asthma was becoming stronger and she was told by her doctor to give them away.  They were brought to Anima on 28th May 2017  and checked by our vet.  They were all neutered and had received the annual vaccination. They were staying in C22 for few days for adaptation to the new environment and calm down. We disagreed with this abandonment. Anima–August Rescue (C1687-Asher)!

<02-08-2017> C1687-Asher (M), around one month old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd August 2017, after a call from Mr. Oscar of Anihelp, informing that they rescued a kitten, C1687-Asher, in Rua dos Ervanarios and he coudn’t walk properly. C1687-Asher was sent to a clinic by Anihelp. We will send him to a second clinic for an x-rays and further examination. C1687-Asher is staying in quarantine in our Cat’s Paradise now. Anima–August Sad News (SPPC1024-Syd)!

<01-08-2017> SPPC1024-Syd (M), was under our Special Protection Program since 19th August 2015, when he was around of 1.5 years old, after a call from Michele, reporting that a cat was found somewhere in Taipa. Syd was rescued by Anima again on 30th January 2017, through Michele, as his left front leg was bitten by other cats and was swollen. SPPC1024-Syd was found not moving and had difficulty in breathing few days ago. He was very weak, dehydrated, had yellowish peritoneal fluid, lethargic and suspected with FIP. He began to enter in suffer! After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put him sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima, and it is not an easy decision! R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! <01-08-2017> 1915-Prince (M) and 1916-Princess (F), both around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 1st August 2017, after a call from our staff reporting that two puppies were found abandoned outside the main entrance of our dog shelter. 1915-Prince and 1916-Princess were checked in our clinic and dewormed. Anima–August Rescue (C1685, C1686)!

<01-08-2017> C1685-Derrick (M) and C1686-Dewey (M), both around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 1st August 2017, after a call from our board member Mr. Francisco Leandro, reporting that there were around 10 cats in a Hotel in Macau in very bad situation. The hotel’s staff is helping us to catch the cats. We have provided a trap! Today C1685-Derrick and C1686-Dewey were caught and were checked in our clinic. C1685-Derrick has skin problem. Anima–Member fee adjustment from September on!

<01-08-2017> Anima member fee was fixed since 2003 and wasn’t changed for many years. Due to the inflation  and the growth of our expenses we decide to adjust our member fee. Anima has now  one more shelter opened last year and the number of animals  taken care by us has increased every year. We are rescued hundreds animals per year!  From September 2017 on, our  membership  fee will be MOP 600 per year for an adult (or MOP 50 per month) and MOP 180 per year for a juvenile (or MOP 15 per month)! Those that already paid don’t need to pay more, you will only need to follow the new rates when you have to pay next time! As our member, you  have discounts in many services, including medicine and vacines,  accommodation, consultation, dinners, any events, merchandising  and transportation of your animals. Anima–Services provided to our community (TR015-Chu Chai)!

<31-07-2017> Anima helped Ms. Chan to deliver her dog TR015-Chu Chai (F) to dog kennel for license. A fee is collected to help the financing of our activities. Some community members that cannot afford do no pay at all. Anima members are exempt! To be a member of Anima you just need to pay an annual fee of MOP 360 if you are an adult or MOP 120 if you are a juvenile! Please help us to help them! Never abandon your pet! Anima–July Return to Family (1827-Eris)!

<31-07-2017> 1827-Eris was returned to the family after accommodation in Anima for 22 days, since 10th July 2017. This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates, provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 360). Who has adopted one animal from Anima do not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! So, this program is also conceived to convince community members to be our members and adopters! For a dog, for instance, for a 15 days period, the savings is 750 patacas and for cats 450 patacas, enough to pay two annual membership fees in the first case and one and a quarter year of membership...
