Anima-February Sad News (111-Ben)!

<22-02-2017> 111-Ben (M), with an estimated age of twelve years old now, has passed away this morning. Ben had renal failure, eczema and diarrhea. His condition was on and off since long time ago. He couldn’t urinate by himself as he was not able to move. He was in pain and struggling to take the medication yesterday. Ben was one of our eldest dogs that had stayed with us for so long. He loved eat! If  you have food in your hand, for sure he would show up in the next second in front of you. We will miss you! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–February Rescue (1858-1860)!

<22-02-2017> 1858-Oolong (M), 1859-Lipton (M) and 1860-Matcha (M), all with an estimated age of two months old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd February 2017, after a call from Ms. Gina reporting that there were three puppies living in a site of Taipa and the mother had died from a fight with other dog. Oolong, Lipton and Matcha were checked by our vet and dewormed. They are staying in quarantine in our dog shelter now. Later they will be socialized with OUR CATS in our CATS' PARADISE! Anima–Rescue and New Cat Under SPP (SPPC1429-Cadmus)!

<22-02-2017> SPPC1429-Cadmus (M), with an estimated age of five years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima, through Michele, on 22nd February 2017, somewhere in Taipa. Rescue and Temporary Accommodation (SPP1856-Hugo)!

<20-02-2017> SPP1856-Hugo (M), that was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) when rescued by Anima on 10th February 2017, when he was around two years old, after a call from Mr. Leong reporting that a dog got an open wound on the body during a fight in a site of Coloane. Hugo received a surgery to stitch up the wound. He was returned to his former place after the surgery. Mr. Leong is responsible for him in that area. Hugo was supposed to remove the stitches today, but we found the wound is not healed yet. So, he is staying with us until he recovers. Thanks Mr. Leong! Please help us to help them! <20-02-2017> C1427-Leona (F), few days old, was rescued by Anima on 20th February 2017, after a call from Ms. Lam reporting that a kitten was inside a plastic bag in Rua Oeste do Mercado de São Domingos. Anima–February Pictures of our Dogs’ Paradise!

<19-02-2017> Do you know that our Cats’ Paradise is really part of five paradises? First paradise is dedicated to Cats. This was really our main goal. Second paradise is dedicated to Dogs. We have there around 10 dogs which are the best protectors of our cats! Third paradise is the Turtles’ paradise. We have a big tank where they are protected. All turtles are rescued turtles! Fourth paradise is the Rabbits’ paradise! We still have three rabbits in Anima. Fifth paradise is the environment. Our friends of Asia Landscape is planting a lot of trees and plants in all areas making the space very beautiful. The work is still not finished, but the beauty is already there. Anima-FAOM Visited Us!

<19-02-2017> Today, 108 people visited our Dog Shelter and Cat’s Paradise, 16 of them were from FAOM! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2016, we had 7,519 visitors an increase of 30.4% as compared with 5,768 in 2015! 128 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 85.8%! This year, up to January 2017, Anima received 788 visitors, an increase of 22% as compared with the same period of last year!
