Anima – April Rescue and Return (SPP1651-Linna)!

SPP1651-Linna (F), around two years old, together with SPP1646-Lambo (M), SPP1647-Laggon (F), SPP1648-Languid (M), SPP1649-Lafone (F) and SPP1650-Limona (F), on the time around one month old were under our Special Protection Program from the 4th of February 2016. They live in a construction site somewhere in Coloane, and Mrs. Yuen was responsible for them in that area. We support them with food, de-sex surgery and vaccination. She was spayed in clinic this morning. She will stay in Ms. Yuen's home temporarily until recover. Thanks Ms. Yuen! Please be responsible! De-sex your pets! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – April Rescue (SPPC981-Robert)!

SPPC981-Robert (M), around three years old, was rescued by Anima through Michele, somewhere in Taipa. SPPC981-Robert lived scared since some dogs nearby his place have killed many cats. He used to escape to the ceiling of the buildings or to the draining system. Now Robert doesn’t need anymore to run for his life! Anima – University of Macau Visited Us!

Today, 18 people visited us, six of them were students from University of Macau! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to March 2016, Anima received 1,918 visitors, an increase of 8.61% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased 21.43% to 17 groups! Anima – April Rescue (C1178-Kelly)!

C1178-Kelly (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 27th April 2016, after a call from an old lady reporting that she was severely injured by her cat Kelly at home and she had to stay in hospital for two days. She took care of Kelly for two years already, but according to her Kelly was aggressive from the first beginning. She doesn’t want Kelly anymore! Our rescue team arrived her apartment and found Kelly  locked inside the bathroom. In the first tentative, Kelly escaped when the door was opened. Anima – Please support the march on 30 April!

We are against all forms of cruelty! When in 2014 we asked the Macau Chief Executive to speed up an administrative regulation to stop the cruelty towards the animals, we were alone. This administrative regulation could be passed in less than one week and doesn’t need the approval of the Legislative Assembly (LA). We were giving to LA enough time to prepare a good law. Two years afterwards, no law has been passed and Anima was not listened at all in all this process of legislation. The event that is co-organized by some animal welfare associations (Anima has not been invited as co-organizer) should be supported by all the community. Anima – April Foster (SPP1666-Tiko)!

See Tiko when was accepted as SPP dog and now being fostered by Ms. Lei! SPP1666-Tiko (M) was rescued by Anima in Coloane on 14th March 2016 as he was found breathing hard and vomiting. He was sent to a clinic for consultation immediately and he had to stay overnight there for observation. The first vet opinion shown he needed a surgery but could only do it after few days and he had possibilities of survive. A second vet opinion from other clinic referred that the success of a surgery was very limited and serious danger might occur during the surgery. Meanwhile, until the first vet was capable to do the surgery after few days, Anima sent Tiko to a third clinic, talked directly to the major vet and the opinion was that his stomach was inside the chest, making him to have breath difficulties. Anima – April Rescue and return (SPP1643-Toner)!

SPP1643-Toner (M) became our SPP dog since 27th January 2016 and he lived somewhere in Coloane under our responsibility. Toner stayed in Anima from 27th February due to tick fever. He recovered, received the first vaccination and was sterilized. Toner was released to his former place on 6th April. Our rescue team was going there every day to give food and we found him showed up in front of shelter few times. Today he came twice to Anima crossing all the mountain and the road from Ka-Ho village to Anima. As this is very dangerous we decided to keep him with us. He loved us and we love him! Anima – April Rescue (C1176-Domina)!

C1176-Domina (F), around six years old, was rescued on 26th April 2016, after a call from Mr. Ho reporting that he had been taking care of Domina for five  years in a warehouse, but he didn’t want her anymore as she always pees on his goods.
