Anima – February Rescue (1652-Terris)!

THIS IS A SERIOUS ACT OF CRUELTY! HOW LONG HAVE WE TO SEE THOSE ACTS WITHOUT THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE BEING  PUNISHED? WHEN DO WE  HAVE A LAW FOR PROTECTING ANIMALS AGAINST THESE DEPLORABLE AND INFAMOUS ACTS OF CRUELTY? 1652-Terris, a two years old dog, was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Fong reporting that 1652-Terris was found injured in front of Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional. When our rescue team arrived, 1652-Terris was lying on the street with the nose bleeding. According to a witness, Mr. Tang, he was on the motorcycle and saw five people beating the nose of a dog with a hammer and a stick. They were inside a Blue Toyota (the plate number will be reported by Anima to the Police) so Mr. Tang chased the car and yelled at them. Anima – February Rescue (C1118-Socky)!

C1118-Socky was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Peny reporting that C1118-Socky was found by a friend of her in a street inside a carton box and was taken care by her up to now. Socky is a female cat around six months old! She told us that she tried to find an adopter for C1118-Socky but nobody was interested. She also referred that as she was pregnant she could not keep Socky! Pregnancy has nothing to do with these matters! Animals at home do not create any hazardous to any pregnant people. On the contrary, they help the future mothers to have healthy babies! Vets and human doctors should teach people about the importance of having animals when a pregnancy occurs! C1117-Minerva was rescued  by Anima after a call from Mr. Silva reporting that C1117-Minerva was found on the road at Vila de Coloane. Anima – February Rescue (B023-Beacon)!

B023-Beacon was rescued after a call from Ms. Ho reporting that a bird was found injured in Rua da Restauracao and she asked us to help. Our rescue team went to collect Beacon and sent it to a clinic. Beacon, around three weeks old, was not able to fly as it was too young and injured. Beacon will stay overnight at the clinic for treatment and observation. Thanks Ms. Ho! Anima – February Rescue and Sad News (1645-Kassy)!

1645-Kassy was rescued by Anima after our rescue team found the dead body of her somewhere in Coloane. There was no apparent injury on her body but small amount of blood came out from the vagina and diarrhea from the anus. Kassy was not under our supervision and was the first time we saw her! The dead body of Kassy was delivered to IACM. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – January Rescue (C1113 to C1116)!

C1113-Byron (M), C1114- Shelley (F), C1115-Keats (M) and C1116-Eyre (F) were rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Lau reporting that four kittens were found in a plastic bag in a building at Rua da Alegria. Mr. Lau put them in a carton box temporarily as our rescue team went to Red Market to rescue them immediately. They are around two weeks old, now staying with us. Our Supervisor Ms. Zoe will foster them as they need milk every 3 hours day and night ! Thanks Mr. Lau! Thanks Ms. Zoe! Never Abandon your pets! Rescue and Information about SPP Dog (SPP819-Gorgor)!

SPP819-Gorgor was rescued by Anima after a call from our volunteer responsible in the area reporting that Gorgor was bitten by other dogs somewhere in Coloane. Wounds in the size of a 10 cent coin was found above the left eye lid on his forehead, with other minor wounds. Our rescue team rescued him to Anima and our vet ran a surgery to stitch the wound. Gorgor was returned to the former place after the surgery with good condition. Gorgor became our SPP dog since 17th April 2012. We need more SPP volunteers! Never Abandon your pets! January Rescue and New SPP Cat (SPPC1112-Longman)!

SPPC1112-Longman, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima after a call from Michele reporting that a male cat around one years old, was found sick somewhere in Taipa. Longman was skinny and dehydrated, and his left ear lobe was injured. He was already neutered so we don’t know if he was abandoned by someone. We are keeping an eye on him! Thanks Michele!
