Anima–July Rescue (SPP2299-Kinki)!

<31-07-2020> SPP2299-Kinki (F), around seven months old and from our Special Protection Program (SPP) under Ms. Chan’s responsibility, was rescued by Anima on 31st July 2020, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that he had an accident hitting a dog, SPP2299-Kinki, with his car in Largo da Ponte de Coloane. He asked us help. Anima staff went to the site with two volunteers and rescued the dog into a safe zone. SPP2299-Kinki was immediately sent to a clinic. X-Ray results revealed that her pelvis is fractured. According to the vet, it can heal without any surgery. SPP2299-Kinki will be hospitalized in the clinic for close observation and specific medical care. Thanks, Mr. Wong, for leting us know! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima-July Rescue (B162-Myra)!

<30-07-2020> B162-Myra was rescued by Anima on 30th July 2020, after Mr. Anand brought over a baby crested myna bird to our Dogs’ Shelter. Mr. Anand reported that he just picked it up on Estr. do Istmo because he couldn’t see the mother or nest around. The baby bird, B162-Myra looks healthy but keeping opening his mouth and waiting to be fed. B162-Myra was sent to Macau Kennel as they have space and qualified persons to feed him until he can be able to survive on its own in the wild. Thanks, Mr. Anand! Please help us to help them! <28-07-2020> B161-Gilly was rescued by Anima on 28th July 2020, after a person brought over a bird that he picked up near Coloane to our Dogs' Shelter, as the bird seemed to have his leg injured and couldn’t fly. <27-07-2020> 1105-Leila (F) and 1106-Yodell (M), both around seven and a half years old, were rescued by Anima on 27th July 2020, after a call from IAM informing that Leila and Yodell were abandoned in Macau Kennel by the adopter. Anima–July Rescue (C2372-Yacob)!

<25-07-2020> C2372-Yacob (M), around one and a half years old, was rescued by Anima on 25th July 2020 after being found abandoned in front of Cat’s Paradise entrance gate in the early morning. He was not microchipped and was left with one bag of dry cat food, one bag of cat sand and a comb. A letter was found telling that Yacob was under the guard of a solitary old man who just passed away. The abandoner cannot take care of him anymore and want us to find a new home for him. July Rescue and Sad News (B157, B158, B159)!

<23-07-2020> B157-Miki (F), was rescued by Anima on 23rd July 2020, after being reported by our staff that a common dove, B156-Miki, was found injured inside our shelter, at the same place where her two babies, B158-Milo and B159-Mila, were found dead in their nest. B157-Miki was sent to a clinic. Miki had a very big fracture on her leg, an infected wound unable to heal on its own and she was suffering. After discussing with the vet, and approved by two Anima board members, she was euthanized in no pain conditions. Anima–July Rescue (2295-Thumper)!

<10-07-2020> 2295-Thumper (M), around five years old, was rescued by Anima on 10th July 2020, after a call from a security guard of Hospital de Reabilitação de Ka-Ho on 8th July, Mr. Dawa, reporting that a dog that he has fed for 3 years near the hospital was injured. He asked us to help. The dog has wounds on the head and both eyes are infected. According to Mr. Dawa, the dog is too sensitive as I.A.M had been trying to catch him many times. Anima lent a cage to Mr. Dawa to catch the injured dog. Today, Anima was informed by Mr. Dawa that 2295-Thumper was caught. He was immediately sent to a clinic for consultation. <09-07-2020> B156-Suli, was rescued by Anima on 9th July 2020, after a call from Ms. Sousa reporting that she picked up a baby bird near MGM Cotai on her way to work. According to Ms. Sousa, there was a bird nest nearby but too high (around 10 m) and impossible to put him back. <07-07-2020> C2369-Hercules (M) and C2370-Hulk (M), both three months old, were rescued by Anima on 7th July 2020, after a referral case from Masdaw reporting that two kittens were found caged at Hac Sa Beach near Fernando’s Restaurant.
