Anima – April Foster (SPP1666-Tiko)!

See Tiko when was accepted as SPP dog and now being fostered by Ms. Lei! SPP1666-Tiko (M) was rescued by Anima in Coloane on 14th March 2016 as he was found breathing hard and vomiting. He was sent to a clinic for consultation immediately and he had to stay overnight there for observation. The first vet opinion shown he needed a surgery but could only do it after few days and he had possibilities of survive. A second vet opinion from other clinic referred that the success of a surgery was very limited and serious danger might occur during the surgery. Meanwhile, until the first vet was capable to do the surgery after few days, Anima sent Tiko to a third clinic, talked directly to the major vet and the opinion was that his stomach was inside the chest, making him to have breath difficulties. Anima – April Rescue and return (SPP1643-Toner)!

SPP1643-Toner (M) became our SPP dog since 27th January 2016 and he lived somewhere in Coloane under our responsibility. Toner stayed in Anima from 27th February due to tick fever. He recovered, received the first vaccination and was sterilized. Toner was released to his former place on 6th April. Our rescue team was going there every day to give food and we found him showed up in front of shelter few times. Today he came twice to Anima crossing all the mountain and the road from Ka-Ho village to Anima. As this is very dangerous we decided to keep him with us. He loved us and we love him! Anima – Please read our letters and be inside our fights!

Anima has decided from the first beginning to have its opinion over animal welfare in a “black and white” way! We mean, studying and discussing all the issues, writing and giving our opinions in order to facilitate to our Authorities the best decisions. Unfortunately we have to confess, we are not being properly listened! However, this is our way to fight against the cruelty environment surrounding our animals! We are not against the community that goes to the streets and uses this way to fight for what they think is the most appropriate way to succeed! May be this is the most effective way, but this is not our way! In many events, like the event that will happen on 30th April we have even not been invited to co-organize! Macau University of Science &Technology Visited Us!

Today, 42 people visited us, 19 of them were students from Macau University of Science and Technology! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to March 2016, Anima received 1,918 visitors, an increase of 8.61% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased 21.43% to 17 groups! Anima – April Rescue (SPP1710-Mui Chui II)!

SPP1710-Mui Chui II (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 23rd April 2016, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng informing that she was found pregnant somewhere in Coloane. Mui Chui II is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). An ultrasound showed that the fetus are already approx. seven weeks old. So we decided for keeping the puppies! SPP1710-Mui Chui II has to stay in Anima temporarily to give birth. Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – April Adoption (C1122-Crackie)!

C1122-Crackie was adopted on 23rd April 2016, by Ms. Ao! C1122-Crackie, around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 15th February 2016, after a call from Ms. Vanessa reporting that a female cat was found shaking, with a big belly and skin problems in a street somewhere in Macau. Our rescue team went to the site and found the female cat and two other kittens in a car park nearby. According to an employee of the car park, the cats have been living inside the car park together since a week ago. He asked us to collect the cats. We set a cat trap and one of the kittens C1122-Crackie was rescued. Thanks Ms. Ao! Anima – April Rescue (C1175-Valentina)!

C1175-Valentina (F), around eight years old, was rescued on 22nd April 2016, after a call from Mr. Fernando around 9:30 pm, reporting that she was found in Estrada do Coelho do Amaral and she was extremely dehydrated, full of fleas and very weak. Mr. Fernando took her to a clinic immediately. C1175-Valentina needs to stay overnight in the clinic for observation and after will go our shelter! Thanks Mr. Fernando! Please help us to help them! Anima – April Adoption (1706-Parco)!

1706-Parco was adopted today by our member Ms. Lei! 1706-Parco (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th April 2016, after a call from Ms. Man, informing that 1707-Parco was found tied near a garbage room on Rua de Sacadura Cabral. She has stayed there for over half an hour but nobody appeared to get 1707-Parco. Our rescue team went to the location, no microchip was found on 1707-Parco, and he was skinny. According to the people nearby, they often see two young girls walking 1707-Parco. We have to choose between several adoptions' applications and we choose what seems the best for him.
