Anima – May Adoption (C1115-Keats)!

Keats was adopted by Ms. Hao on 14th May 2016! C1115-Keats (M), with C1113-Byron (M), C1114- Shelley (F) and C1116-Eyre (F), on the time around two weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 31st January 2016 after a call from Mr. Lau reporting that four kittens were found in a plastic bag in a building at Rua da Alegria. Mr. Lau put them in a carton box temporarily as our rescue team went to Red Market to rescue them immediately. Keats stayed with us in Anima up to now. Thanks Ms. Hao! Please help us to help them! ANIMA-Press Release (Greyhounds arrival)!

According to our Irish partners, confirmed by Hong Kong sources and Grey2k USA Worldwide, 24 new Irish greyhounds will arrive Macau this Friday 13th of May. Anima sources near the shipping companies confirm that the 24 Irish Greyhounds will arrive Macau (at bridge 27) between 17:00 to 17:30! The export of those animals is making a big mess in Ireland and is damaging the image of Macau as a friendly and international city of leisure and entertainment. Lots of bad publicity to Macau, published all over the world, news in the international media (TVs, radios and newspapers) and in the social networks are destroying all the work done by our Government in the last years! Anima – May Sad News (1726-Kerin)!

1726-Kerin has passed away in the morning of May 12, 2016! 1726-Kerin (M) was born by SPP1710-Mui Chui II on 11th May 2016,  with 1718-Kimon, 1719-Kennis, 1720-Kuni, 1721-Konya, 1722-Kassie, 1723-Komie, 1724-Kolm and 1725-Kulee. SPP1710-Mui Chui II (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 23rd April 2016, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng informing that she was found pregnant somewhere in Coloane. Mui Chui II entered to our Special Protection Program (SPP). An ultrasound showed that the fetus were already approx, seven weeks old. So we decided for keeping the puppies on that time! We found Kerin was lying far away from the mother, no injury was found on the body. Cause of death might be lack of milk and low temperature. R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pets! Cats Return to the Site (SPPC975, SPPC1135, SPPC1138)!

SPPC975-Julie was under our Special Protection Program since 18th June 2015 and was rescued by Anima after a call from Michele reporting that she needed de-sex surgeries. She stayed in shelter from 17th March 2016 until now. SPPC1135-William, around three years old, was under our Special Protection Program since 27th February 2016. He was rescued by Anima after a call from Michele reporting that he was found sick somewhere in Taipa. According to Michele, William was sneezing lately ans was infested of fleas. William was diagnosed with flea infection. He had skin lesion on both ears and across the body, and hair loss on his back. SPPC1138-Anjos, around four years old, was under our Special Protection Program since 2nd March 2016. Anima – May New Born (1718 to 1726)!

SPP1710-Mui Chui II (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 23rd April 2016, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng informing that she was found pregnant somewhere in Coloane. Anima – May Rescue (C1190-Jaydon)!

C1190-Jaydon (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th May 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she found a kitten in the middle of the road near Nova City. She picked up Jaydon and brought him to Anima. Jaydon was checked by our vet and he is staying with us now. Thanks Ms. Chan! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! Anima – May Sad News (1145-Tuga)!

Tuga passed away this morning due to a Thyroid Carcinoma! Tuga was rescued on 28th October 2013 after a call from our president reporting that he found a dog with a broken leg in Coloane. She had a leg surgery and her condition was getting better on that time. But we found that Tuga had a tumor on her neck and as so she was sent to  a  clinic to remove the tumor on 7th December 2015. It was a huge lump and the thyroid got removed together as well. The sample was sent to HK for further diagnosis and we got the biopsy report on 19th January 2016: she had a carcinoma! She died today and we lost a very good friend! Her body will be delivered to IACM for incineration and we will keep the ashes. She was like an old granny in our shelter, friendly and never fighting with other dogs. Sometimes...

Anima – Tai Long Needs a New Home!

Please help Tai Long! He needs a family! Tai Long (M), a Labrador Retriever, around nine years old, was abandoned by his owner and caged in a pet shop for four years without proper care. He got really sick and had to be sent to a clinic. He stayed there for a couple of weeks due to a kidney problem. The vet Ms. Laetitia  took care of Tai Long when he was sick and now she is moving out of Macau in two weeks time and she  doesn 't take him. Tai Long is very smart and playful with amazing personality and he is a  very good companion. He got all vaccination and he is completely healed. But he has difficulty to stay with other dogs. Ms. Laetitia suggests that who adopted him should not have other dogs. Please help us to help them! Thanks!
