Anima – April Adoption (C1142-Amigo)!

C1142-Amigo (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 22nd March 2016, after Mr. Wu reporting that a kitten was wandering on Ponte de Amizade as he drove by. Mr. Wu picked up C1142-Amigo and immediately drove him to Anima. A minor scratch was found on his chin, but his overall health condition was fine. Now Amigo was adopted by Ms. Yip! Thanks Ms. Yip! Anima – New Temporary Foster (1199, 1337 and 1429)!

Please see them before, when we rescued them, and now being fostered by a friendly association! 1199-Dakota was rescued by Mr. Darrick on 3rd January 2014. He found her the day before in Yao Hon, attached to a leash near the seaside. The dog was skinny and it seems she was left there a few days ago. 1337-Hayden was rescue in Coloane by Anima after a call from Ms. Chow. He was not able to walk and he was shaking. He has a serious skin problem and see now as he had recovered. 1429-Eda was rescued by Anima under an agreement signed with a local restaurant in Coloane. Eda is gentle, has a collar but not a microchip. All three are now with a foster association as we want to improve the quality of life of them and we were breaking our rules, taking their space, as we are full! As soon as...

C1130-Wells (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 21st February 2016, after a call from Ms. Un reporting that a kitten was found entered in her building somewhere in Macau the night before. Anima – April Rescue (1695-Wawa)!

1695-Wawa (F) was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Chiu reporting that 1695-Wawa was found in his working place somewhere in Coloane, this morning. According to Mr. Chiu, it is rare to see a small size dog in that area as most of the dogs living there are medium or large size, so she was probably abandoned. No microchip was found in Wawa. Anima – March Rescue and Sad News (1694-Witton)!

Yesterday, 1692-Luce was found in the gutter on the roadside near an hotel. No adult dogs or other puppies were seen around the area at the moment. Today we decided to check again and we found the body of 1694-Witton near the bus stop of the same hotel. 1694-Witton was in the gutter by the roadside, close to the location where 1692-Luce was rescued yesterday. The body was already cold and rigid, he probably passed away for some time. There is a wound on the head with bloodstain. 1694-Witton possibly fell down from the mountain. R.I.P. my friend! Anima – March Sad News (C1101-Artemis)!

C1101-Artemis was rescued by Anima on 12th January 2016, after a call from Ms. Lei regarding a cat found on the street near Teatro de Pedro V. According to Ms. Lei, Artemis was very weak, hardly breathing and was not moving. As it was an emergency situation, we asked Ms. Lei to take Artemis to a clinic nearby first as it would take us a long time to arrive there. Artemis was delivered to the clinic and she had to stay in the clinic for observation as she was very weak. Artemis passed out for a while when brought in, with low temperature and low blood sugar. After few months of fight against sickness, today Artemis died. R.I.P. my friend! If you have capacity to adopt, please help us! Never abandon your pet! Anima – March Rescue (1692-Luce)!

1692-Luce, around 15 days old, was rescued by Anima  after a call from Ms. Lei reporting that 1692-Luce was found in the gutter on the roadside near Grand Coloane. No adult dogs or other puppies were seen around the area at the moment. He was fostered temporarily by our supervisor Zoe as he needs milk every three hours, day and night. All animals must be treated with dignity!

For your own safety, do you want to be muzzled? For your own safety, do you want to be caged? Anima is a Society that protects all animals, not only dogs or cats, birds or rabbits. Any living creature is subject to our concern. No animal, including those that belong to our chain of food consumption (not all of us are veggies activists), should be treated with cruelty. Animals that belong to our chain of food consumption should be respected and any unnecessary cruel treatment should be severely punished or avoided. We are a kind of Association that respects life. As so, we do not kill, unless in very extreme situations when animals enter in suffer and no other treatment is possible! Life is the most important thing for all of us, including non-humans animals! There are organizations that kill animals because they think is better killing them than leaving them...

Anima – March Rescue (SPP1691-Tiger II)!

SPP1691-TigerII, around four years old, is under our Special Protection Program now. He is living in a construction site and our rescue team is responsible for him now in the area. He was found not eating, getting skinny for the past few days, and being nauseous today. SPP1691-Tiger II was sent to a clinic for consultation and ran a tick fever test. The test result indicated positive. SPP1691-Tiger II is staying in Anima (V0) temporarily for medication. Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – March 27th, Adoption Day in Flower City!

Beginning in February 2016, Anima is helding two adoption days outside Anima on the second and last Sunday of every month. Around 70 people have visited us today at Flower City in Taipa! We were supported by 9 volunteers, Wing, Oscar, Diana, Cristine, Vanessa, Simon, Ines, Winnie, Ruby and we took seven of our dogs. Today in the adoption day, we received five applications for adoption! As you may see a big dog over 23 kilos is gently being playing with kids with no muzzle! Muzzling  dogs is insane! No dogs should be muzzled!  Thank you all for your big support! Please do not buy, Adopt!
