Anima is against the killing of so many young animals by The Macau Canídrome. What about the other Macau Animal Welfare Associations?

Around 30 young animals are in average killed every month in Macau by the Canidrome! We are asking from the 6th April 2015 the other Macau Animal Welfare Organizations to support the Greyhounds! MASDAW has answered immediately supporting our campaign “Please help us end the suffering of our Greyhounds”! We are still waiting the answer of APAAM and MAWA! We have already asked them for two times without any answer. Anima- New cat under our Special Protection Program (SPPC969-Roco)

SPP969-Rocco is under our special protection program now. He was found by Michele somewhere in Taipa and he was too weak. He will be accommodated in Anima until fully recovered. Thanks Michele! Anima needs volunteers for fostering dogs!

If only one percent of the families in Macau decide to adopt one dog all abandoned and stray dogs of Macau could be adopted! Just one per cent! Please convince your friends not to buy animals in pet shops! Please ask them to adopt instead! However if you or your friends can not adopt (adoption must be for life), what about if you or your friends could foster one animal just for one month? Just for one month! If you do that we may be able to help animals in danger! If we are not able to get the adoptions we need, at least we must try to have families that foster them for a while. Just for a while! It is very easy to ask us or any other animal welfare association to help, but please see that space is limited! Overcrowded areas may originate aggressions and animals may get killed! Anima visited by Wynn Resort staff!

Today 25 people visited us, 18 were Wynn Resort staff! Steve Wynn is Anima Honorary Life President! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of May, we had 2,691 visitors an increase of 10.88% as compared with 2,427 in the same period of 2014! 26 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! Anima – June Rescue (SPPC971-Tommy and SPPC972-Joe)

SPPC971-Tommy, SPPC972-Joe were rescued by Michele and came to Anima for consultation taking the proper vaccines and were de-worming. Joe stays in Anima as he is skinny and weak. Anima- Information about animals in temporary accomodation (1465-Luna and 1466-Jorjão)

1465-Luna and 1466-Jorjão that were exceptionally accommodated in Anima temporarily, as the owners Mr. Varley and Marisa went back home unexpectedly by professional reasons, are very well with us. They are just waiting for the 90 days imposed by European authorities to take a plane! Today one of our members spoke to them in the language they understand, the Portuguese language, and they were so happy and never left him. Please do like Varley and Marisa, Never abandon your pets! Albano Martins Adopt In Coloane Kennel, News

Anima – IACM animals for adoption in Coloane Kennel!

SPP710-Pak Sa, SPP711-Kam Sa, SPP719-Ah Gym, SPP721-Ah Hong, SPP722-Tai Pou, SPP723-Yi Pou,  SPP724-Sam Pou and SPP725-Sai Pou, were rescued by Anima and sent to Coloane kennel for adoption. All of them are under Anima staff management. The main reason of this decision was to improve their quality of life and avoid them to be sooner or later killed as the community around the site was complaining about their bark. In the area Anima is helping around 60 animals and has now two staff fully working there. All food and medication are also fully covered by Ludwig’s fund created by Anima on April this year! We believe that the site will be fully closed for construction within one to 1.5 years. So the future of those animals are really a challenge for us all our friends that want to help stray animals. C968-Daysha was rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Koo and Ms. Lee. They were afraid the cats will be poisoned. It is the third cat rescued in the area. C966-Doreen and C967-Duke were rescued by Anima after a call from two of our friends that were afraid the cats in the area will be poisoned.
