C953-Wesley was rescued after a call from Ms. Mok reporting that Wesley was found in Patio Da Quina and was bleeding a lot. Wesley was sent immediately to a clinic. Anima – May Sad News (C901-Boey)

C901-Boey was rescued by Anima on February 26, 2015 after a call reporting that a cat was found injured in Rua De S. Miguel. It is the same place where we found on January 21, 2015, C881-Agustin and C882-Aidan. Aidan as all of you remember was found hanged with the brother near him “protecting” his body and “asking” why people should be so cruel! Boey seemed the mother of them. Injuries were found across the body. She was sick. Today we have to put her sleeping after a favorable opinion of a vet and the approval of two board members. Today we received visitors from the School of Nations that have donated to us MOP 16,000, money raised by the School in their event “Paw Protection Carnival” held on April 10, 2015, organized by the Form 6 students. Also our friends from Australia, the family Hill, has donated to us MOP 20,000. Rational Live Events Macau Ltd, a company that organizes the Poker Stars Live in Macau, has donated to us MOP 350,000! Anima – Irresponsible dog owner provoked the death of this cat!

C950-Eloise was rescued by Anima after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that C950-Eloise was found dying in Ruínas de São Paulo. According to the cleaners in the area, they saw a lady bringing two dogs for a walk without leash and the dogs attacked C950-Eloise. When Anima arrived the cat was very damaged and taken immediately to a clinic died when arrived. Thanks Mr. Wong! Please be a responsible citizen! Anima is not asking anybody to love or like all species of animals! We are even not asking anybody to love or like any animal! However we all must respect the life and the rights  of all species! Anima – Our statistics in April 2015

Anima has rescued in the period 125 animals, around 31 per month! Of those, 43 were de-sexed and the remaining is only waiting a recovery and the appropriate age. In the same period 56 animals were adopted. The huge death of animals is explained by the poor condition of them when arrived, or because they were already collected dead or by some diseases that sometimes happen in crowded shelters, even if we try our best to have a proper quarantine and higiene. In April the number of deaths decreased substantially. Only seven animals died or were collected already dead. Anima adopts the policy of No-Kill and No-Cage, policies that limit our capacity to increase the number of rescues or oblige us to be more selective in our rescue operations!
