Anima–October Sad News (2577-Gritz)!
<05-10-2026>
The dog, 2577- Gritz (M), around 11 years old, was rescued by Anima on 24th September 2026, after a call from IAM regarding no more space for animals.
His last owner, an elderly man over 90 years old, was unable to care for himself and the dog, Gritz.
2577- Gritz was diagnosed with tick fever, needed medication and treatment.
On further examination, his blood test results showed severe anemia and he was losing blood cells.
According to the vet, 2577- Gritz has a tumor that had been with him for many years rupturing, and it was pressing blood vessels.
Unfortunatelly, his health condition was not getting better and besides all our medical efforts, 2577- Gritz passed away today.
