Anima-March Sad News (C2089-Wintor)!

<08-03-2021> C2089-Wintor was found getting skinny on 26th February 2021. His blood test results showed a small infection and he started taking medication. On 1st March 2021, an IAM vet made some clinical tests and Wintor was tested positive for FCov. On 4th March 2021, he was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, many symptoms are related to FIP. Later, the vet also referred that his prognosis was very bad. There were no chances of surviving without a proper quality of life. Although a palliative care could be performed, it was also suggested to euthanize him to end the pain. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, C2089-Wintor did not survive. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-March Foster Family (C2503, C2504 and C2506)!

<08-03-2021> Our female cat, C2481-Voda gave birth to four kittens: C2503-Peewee, C2504-Munchkin, C2505-Nugget and C2506-Squirt, on 6th February 2021. Unfortunately, C2505-Nugget passed away! C2503-Peewee, C2504-Munchkin and C2506-Squirt were now temporarily fostered by our most experienced staff member on newborns care. Thanks, Ms. Peng! Please help us to help them! Anima–March Sad News (877-Lisa)!

<08-03-2021> 877-Lisa (F), one of our dogs rescued long time ago, was found with an abscess on her right hind lower leg, on 24th December 2020. She was under treatment and antibiotics. On 30th December, 877-Lisa was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, the staining microscopy and x-ray results, the abscess could be a tumor or an infection. Hospice care was recommended as she may be near the end of her life. Anima was focus on providing the best quality of life for her with a terminal disease. Yesterday, 877-Lisa was sent to a clinic for further examination. She did a blood test and the result indicated that she has anemia. X-Ray result showed that her intestine is abnormal. In the clinic, they suspected that her tumor might have been spread to her intestines. Today, 877-Lisa passed away due to cancer. R.I.P. our dear friend! Never Abandon your pets! Abandoning...

Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (2344-Poe)!

<04-03-2021> 2344-Poe (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 4th March 2021, after her dead body was found by Mr. Albano in the early morning, lying on the roadside of Estrada de Hac Sa near the Man Hong Yeung villas. Mr. Albano contacted our Rescue team and they immediately collected the body. No blood or visible injuries were found. It was sent directly to I.A.M. for further investigation. Anima–March Rescue (B200-Astro)!

<04-03-2021> B200-Astro, a baby dove, was rescued by Anima on 4th March 2021, after received Facebook message from Mr. Chan reporting that he found a baby pigeon near Hotel Estoril yesterday and could not find the nest around. He temporarily took the baby dove to his home for care and requested our rescue team assistance. Later, Mr. Chan decided to send the baby bird B200-Astro directly to a clinic today. Thanks, Mr. Chan! Anima–February Rescue and Sad News (B199-Meg)!

<27-02-2021> The body of B199-Meg, an adult dove, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2021, after one of our supervisors found it during her morning inspection. B199-Meg was found with feathers scattered everywhere, and the body was still warm. Suspect it was attacked by dogs. The body will be delivered to IAM, later. R.I.P. our dear friend! Anima–March Rescue (C2542-Mercedes)!

<03-03-2021> C2542-Mercedes (M), around one year old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd March 2021, after setting up a few cat traps on the top of our ceilings in Cats’ Paradise. A vet and two staff from IAM visited our Cats’ Paradise in the afternoon to check the condition of C2542-Mercedes and now he is welcome to Anima. Thanks, IAM! Please help us to help them! Anima– March Adoption (2322-Varick)!

<02-03-2021> Varick was adopted by Mr. Chan, today! The mother dog 2318-Vicky (F), around two years old, with her six puppies, 2319-Valentina (F), 2320-Valentino (M), 2321-Valter (M), 2322-Varick (M), Vasil (M) and 2324-Vicente (M), all around 3 weeks old by the time, were rescued by Anima on 27th November 2020, after a call from Ms. Lam and Ms. Yip reporting that they found six puppies inside a carton box in Galaxy 3A Construction Site, and estimate all of them are around few-days-old as their eyes were closed. According to Ms. Lam, the mother was seen wandering far away from the puppies. Due to cold weather and no food, both became worried with all of them. Anima contacted I.A.M to cooperate on catching the mother. 2318-Vicky and her six puppies were caught by I.A.M. Anima collected the family, and they were welcome to our Dogs’ Shelter! Anima–March Rescue (C2541-Wallis)!

<02-03-2021> C2541-Wallis (F), around one year and five months old, was rescued by Anima on 2nd March 2021, after receiving a call from Ms. Zoe reporting that she found a sick kitten, C2541-Wallis, in Rua de Kun Iam. She asked us help. C2541-Wallis is used to live in that area, but our rescue team could not find her mother. The kitten was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, she has cat flu and many fleas. C2541-Wallis will stay overnight in the clinic. Thanks, Ms. Zoe! Please help us to help them! Anima-Luen Ying Hong Team visited us!

<26-02-2021> Today, we were visited by 37 people, of which 6 were from Luen Ying Hong Team who came to our Dogs’ Shelter and Cats’ Paradise. The team also donated 15 bags of dog dry food. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019.
