Anima- Please Help us! Do not let Anima die!

<13-04-2018> Dear friends, Every year we begin our activity with accumulated debts. In 2018, we opened with debts carried forward of MOP 2,409,018.04, a consequence of our increased activity. As you know, Anima runs two shelters and thousands of animals in sites, and helps IACM handling the dogs in Coloane Kennel. The food and cleaning materials are provided by IACM and the staff by Anima! These animals are kept alive even if they belong to IACM! This was our agreement! A good agreement! Our expenses last year totalized around 10 million patacas but we were able to generate almost the same money to pay the bills but not the accumulated debts. However, this year the scenario seems very complicated as the funds we usual receive in the beginning of the year to pay accumulated debts and the expenses of the first months may not come. Anima – 2016 Accounts!

<28-11-2017> In 2016 Anima has spent MOP 8,728,414.47 as compared with MOP 7,370,807.23 in 2015! Anima was capable to generate by itself and through donations from individuals MOP 1,517,770.50! Corporations and institutional donations were MOP 6,472,416.62 as compared with MOP 4,000,000.00 in 2015, of which MOP 3,500,000.00 from Macau Foundation, MOP 600,000.00 from Rational Live Events Macau Ltd, MOP 300,000.00 from Sands China Group and MOP 100,000 from GEG! Anima- September Sad News (C914-Amaya)

<13-09-2017> C914-Amaya was rescued by Anima on 19th March 2015, after a call from Ms. Ng reporting that she was on her terrace at Edificio Fong Heng. As she has three dogs, there was a risk of Amaya being killed by them. She was found dead today in out Cats’ Paradise. Her health has been deteriorated in the last month! R.I.P. my friend! Anima–Information about SPP1925-Stefan (3)!

<08-09-2017> SPP1925-Stefan (M), around three years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 4th September 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that a dog was hit by a car in a site. SPP1925-Stefan is paralysed as his spine was broken. After several vets’ opinion the last recommendation was not for surgery but for physiotherapy. Fortunately our friend Ms. Janny Vong accepted to keep him and accepted to assume the responsibility for all the treatment. Anima will pay all bills up to next Monday and a Campaign is already under progress to help Stefan! Anima campaign for helping Stefan will be closed at the end of this month. All funds will be transferred to Janny Vong accounts at the end of September. Anima–Information about SPP1925-Stefan!

<06-09-2017> SPP1925-Stefan (M), around three years old, now under our Special Protection Program, was rescued by Anima on 4th September 2017, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that a dog was hit by a car in a site. SPP1925-Stefan was sent to a clinic for consultation and subject to an x-ray. The report showed that he is paralysed as his spine was broken. According to the vet, there is not much chance that he can walk again even if he has a surgery. Stefan was sent to another clinic for a second opinion. The opinion of the second clinic was very similar: even with a surgery he will never walk again and the probabilities of improving its actual situation is less than 40 per cent! Help us being a temporary foster family of our cats!

<26-08-2017> Dear Friend, The free area of our Cats Paradise was almost completed destroyed! Ceilings were broken by fall down trees and all the nets protecting the cats were destroyed! We have lost at the moment around 40 cats! Now we can not have cats outside the houses, in the free area, and this situation creates another problem. Anima is facing several flows of virus transmittable only between cats. As we have to reduce the area where they are now, especially the airy area, we are creating more chances for all healthy cats to get easily contaminated! If you do not have cats at home, please help us fostering one or two of our cats for a period of two months, the time we preview we need to fix all fences and ceilings! How can you in Macau “Save the Macau Greyhounds”?

<21-07-2017> We need you to be a foster family for one greyhound that we may get, for a period of around four months time, the period we need to take care of his/her transfer!  Anima, GREY2K USA Worldwide and Pet Levrieri of Italy are contacting now many animal welfare organizations and rescue centers all over the world to help Anima to re-home our greyhounds, in case the Macau Government is capable with us to convince Canidrome to give to Anima all those animals and allow us to handle Canidrome area for one year time!
