Anima-September Sad News (441-A-Mui)!

<19-09-2022> Sadly, our senior female dog, 441-A-Mui, passed away today. A-Mui was rescued by Anima many years ago. Recently, her health was getting worst. 441-A-Mui was sent to the clinic, where she was diagnosed with Gastric Dilatation Volvulus (GDV) due to her bloated stomach. Anima–August Sad News (C1907-Alfreda)!

<15-09-2022> Sadly, our cat C1907-Alfreda passed away today. Alfreda was rescued by Anima in 2018. Recently, she was getting skinny, dehydrated and refused to eat yesterday. C1907-Alfreda was sent to a clinic. According to the vet, Alfreda had kidney failure and might pass away anytime. Prognosis is very bad and there is no chance for recover. Euthanasia was considered to end her suffering. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Alfreda was euthanized as an effort to shorten her pain and agony. R.I.P. our friend! Please Adopt and Never Buy! Anima–August Sad News (292-Nuvens)!

<30-08-2022> 292-Nuvens (M), one of our eldest dogs in the shelter has been with us for long time. He was sent to a clinic for consultation as it was difficult to walk and had coughs. According to the vet, 292-Nuvens had a heart problem and his both knees have arthritis. Also, his left chest had a mass that could be a tumor. Even with all treatments and medication, he got worst recently and today, 292-Nuvens was found passed away in his pen place. His body will be later delivered in IAM. R.I.P. our friend! Anima–August Sad News (276-Nero)!

<30-08-2022> 276-Nero (M), one of our eldest dogs in the shelter has been with us for long time. Recently, he was sent to a clinic for consultation. There were wounds on the shoulder due to be sore and between the thigh. He could not use his hind legs already and he might had lost his appetite due to pain. According to a vet, 276-Nero has serious health problems and, together with an advanced age not much can be done. Euthanize was considered for ending his suffer. R.I.P. our friend! Anima–August Sad News (531-Hac Sa)!

<15-08-2022> 531-Hac-Sa (M), one of our senior dogs, got sick recently. He was found not very active, with no appetite and getting worse. This morning he refused to eat and vomited some yellowish fluids. 531-Hac-Sa was imediately sent to a clinic. Unfortunately, Anima was later informed that he passed away in the clinic. 531-Hac-Sa had a serious heart disease and, together with an advanced age not much could be done. R.I.P. our friends! Anima–August Sad News (398, C1903)!

<06-08-2022> Sadly, two of our fury friends left us today! 398-Tony (M, 14yrs old) was rescued by us in 2009. Our old Tony was diagnosis with malignancy on the head, and he was under treatment. However, the tumor got bigger and bigger. Recently we found that Tony’s eyes were reddish so we sent him to the vet clinic for checkup. According to the vet, the tumor has spread to the eyes area and was erupted too, the condition was really worse. Sadly, today Tony passed away! C1903-Snowie (F, 8yrs old) was rescued nearby Rua da Gamboa by Anima. In early August, Snowie was found weak than before, she was sent to the vet clinic for further check-up. The vet said Snowie has very high kidney indexes and serious heart problem, and she needed to be hospitalized. But there’s no improvement of her condition. We were informed by the...

Anima–August Sad News (C2147-Lulu)!

<02-08-2022> C2147-Lulu (F, 4yrs old) was rescued from Macau kennel in June 2019. In mid-April this year, Lulu was found very skinny, she was sent to the vet clinic for check-up. According to the vet, Lulu has inflammation of gallbladder and bloody abdominal fluid. Since Lulu was in good spirit, she was returned to Anima for further treatment. Lulu has taken medication for more than a month. Sadly this morning she passed away. Anima will miss her smile and companionship. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
