Anima-Kiang Peng School visited us!

<08-05-2021> Today, we were visited by 80 people, of which 25 were from Kiang Peng School on a visit to our Cats' Paradise. The students had the chance to interact with our four-legged friends and learn a bit more about Anima’s work. Thank you for your visit! Anima–May Rescue (C2579, C2580)!

<04-05-2021> C2579-Justin (M) and C2580-Marly (M), around one month old, were rescued by Anima on 4th May 2021, after a call from Ms. Carrie referring that she found two kittens inside a paper box in Bloc. Funcionários on R. da Restauração, yesterday. Ms. Carrie took Justin and Marly to a clinic and later, she left them in our Cats’ Paradise. Both are now being temporarily fostered by our staff. Anima-M.U.S.T. Social Service Team visited us!

<03-05-2021> Today, we were visited by 36 people, of which 17 were students from M. U. S. T. Social Service Team who helped in some of our daily tasks. Anima–May Sad News (262-Roy)!

<03-05-2021> Sadly, our dog C2575-Roy (F) as passed away today. She was a senior resident of our shelter, around 14 years old. Recently, Roy had been suffering with kidney problems and anemia. She had to become hospitalized in a vet clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, and despite of all medical efforts, she did not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Sad News (SQ008-Peanut)!

<02-05-2021> SQ008-Peanut, a baby squirrel, was rescued by Anima on the 1st May 2021, after a call from Ms. Helga reporting to have found a small squirrel, apparently with a broken leg, in the trail near Hac Sa Water Reservoir. He was sent to a clinic for treatment. Sadly, we were informed today by the clinic that Peanut didn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Sad News (699-Lady)!

<02-05-2021> Sadly, our dog 699-Lady has passed away today. Lady was 13 years old and in our shelter since 2011. A particularly friendly, sociable and loveable dog, Lady was a favourite among our visitors and a common presence at our events. Last month, her health condition started to deteriorate. She was taken to a private clinic for consultation several times. Eventually, she ended up staying hospitalized, as she was suffering from Kidney Failure. Unfortunately, she passed away in the clinic today. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–May Adoption (C2523-Akio)!

<02-05-2021> Akio was adopted by Ms. Guimarães today! C2523-Akio (M), around six months old by the time, was rescued by Anima from Rua Dois do Bairro Iao Hon on 13th February 2021. Akio was rescued to ensure his safety following last shocking reports of several cats found dead in the area. He was then welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Akio was adopted by Ms. Guimarães! Anima–May Sad News (C2448-Sydney)!

<02-05-2021> Our cat Sydney has passed away today. C2448-Sydney (M), around one year old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 18th December 2020 from IAM, as they reported to have run out of space. He was then welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. A few weeks ago, Sydney was found skinny, lethargic and taken to a clinic for consultation. He was suffering with abnormal abdominal fluids and was tested positive for PCR FCoV. There were also suspicions that he was infected with FIP. Despite all medical care, his health condition continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Sydney was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten his agony. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
