Anima–March Rescue (SPP710-Pac Sa)!

<30-03-2021> SPP710-Pac Sa (F), around 11 years old, was rescued by Anima on 30th March 2021, after receiving a call from IAM reporting that SPP710-Pac Sa was send to Macau kennel because she was not feeling well. In I.A.M., blood test results showed that she is anemic. Physical body check found an external vaginal infection and she was also tested positive for Babesia Canis and B. Gibsoni. According to the vets, it was prescribed medicine and treatment. One more vet suspect that Pac Sa has severely high hemolysis She will be staying in a clinic for a few days, under medical observation and health care. Thanks, IAM! Never Abandon your pets! Anima-March Newborns (C2568, C2569, C2570)!

<30-03-2021> Our cat C2497-Vava gave birth to three kittens today! Vava was rescued by Anima on 30th January 2021, after being found injured in Calçada do Monte. She had a mandibular symphyseal fracture, most probably due to a road traffic accident or a fall from a height. We soon found out that she was also pregnant. C2568-Hinata, C2569-Katana and C2570-Tsubasa were born this morning. As Vava is still recovering from a surgery, she’s being fostered with the newborn kittens by one of our staff.  Please help us to help them! Anima-M.U.S.T. visited us!

<28-03-2021> Today, we were visited by 112 people, of which 35 were from Macau University of Science and Technology. From this group, 19 students volunteered at our Dogs’ Shelter and 16 at our Cats’ Paradise. Thank you for your visit and support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2020, we were visited by 10.495 people, compared with 7.487 visitors in 2019. Anima-March Newborns (C2565, C2566, C2567)!

<28-03-2021> Our cat C2528-Olive gave birth to three kittens today! Olive was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, following a Facebook message reporting that a friendly cat had been wandering near Patio do Gil. Our rescue team was mobilized and Olive was rescued and welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. We soon found out that she was pregnant. C2565-Sofia (F), C2566-Luca (M) and C2567-Antonio (M) were born this afternoon. Olive has been milk feeding them and all kittens are active. Please help us to help them! Anima–March Found and Fostered (2352-Coolio)!

<28-03-2021> Coolio was fostered today by Mr. Shaunessy! 2352-Coolio (M), a dog around two years old, was rescued by Anima on 11th March 2021 after being found wandering inside the car park of our Cats’ Paradise. Coolio was found dirty and without microchip. He was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. On 20th March 2021, Coolio managed to jump over our fences and escape. He was found this morning not far from Coloane Village by Mr. Shaunessy, who kindly accepted to foster Coolio from now on. We are grateful for all your support, Mr. Shaunessy! <27-03-2021> CH006-Joltik (F), a chinchilla around two or three months old, was rescued by Anima on 27th March, 2021 following a facebook message from Mr. Jerry reporting to have found a chinchilla abandoned in a tiny cage inside a plastic bag near Taipa’s Nam San Building. Anima–March Sad News (C2564-Tillie)!

<26-03-2021> C2564-Tillie (F), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 26th March 2021, after receiving a call from Mr. Ho reporting what his colleague told him about a female kitten who was hit by a vehicle this morning and she was put into a paper box near the carpark of Border Gates. The kitten was very aggressive and seemed to have broken her left hind leg. Our Rescue team sent C2564-Tillie directly to a clinic. According to the vet, X-ray scan showed an injure in the lung which was making her have difficulty breathing. She also has a perineal hernia, and her bladder was out of the abdominal cavity. C2564-Tillie was hospitalized for treatment, but despite all medical efforts, she could not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! <25-03-2021> Four female cats, C2557-Miya (F), C2558-Miriam (F), C2559-Yolanda (F) and C2560-Stacy (F), all around two years old, plus three male cats, C2561-Freddy (M) and C2562-Geoffrey (M), both around one year old and C2563-Ziggy (M) with two years old, were rescued by Anima on 25th March 2021, after a call from an I.A.M. staff reporting that there was no space for more street cats. Anima–March Sad News (601-Fava)!

<25-03-2021> Sadly, 601-Fava (F) has passed away today. Our dog Fava was in our shelter since 2010. Her health deteriorated quickly recently, following the first symptoms of appetite loss. Veterinary doctors found a mass blocking her digestive tract and, despite all medical efforts, Fava wouldn’t survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets!
