Anima – June Sad News (1585-Bo Bo II)

Bobo left us today, 20th June 2016! 1585-Bo Bo II, a 15 years old male dog, was rescued by Anima on 22nd November 2015, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she could not keep her dog (1585-Bo Bo II) anymore as he always pee everywhere and this was creating family problems. Anima decided to help Bo Bo with three conditions: the family should pay a visit to him every week, he must be capable to socialize with the old dogs in the Association corridor where we have 111-Ben, 1145-Tuga and 1439-Zac during day time and he must be friendly to people, as this is an area where visitors have access and the only place available for him! Anima – June Return to family (1753-Lavinea)!

1753-Lavinea (F), around eight years old, was rescued by Anima on 19th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Célia Bras reporting that a dog was found in the Dog Garden of Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima without a leash and nobody near her. Anima checked Lavinia and she had a microchip! We have informed IACM and IACM contacted the owner that came to collect her back on 20th June 2016! An old family member had open the door and the dog escaped, this was the explanation advanced by the owner! Please help us to help them! Never abandon you pet! Anima – June Adoption (1671-Jacker)!

Jacker was adopted on 20th June 2016 by Mr. Ao! 1671-Jacker, 1672-Joggi, 1673-Joseph, 1674-Japer, 1675-Jotty with the mother SPP1676-Josha were rescued by Anima on 13th March 2016, after a call from Ms. Cheng reporting that SPP1676-Josha, around four years old, under our Special Protection Program from that date, with her five puppies, all around three weeks old, were found in a construction site somewhere in Coloane. According to Ms. Cheng, the place was dangerous for the dogs due to the weather and the living conditions, so she asked us to help. Our rescue team went to the site and found the puppies hidden in a huge pipe. The puppies were taken out from the pipe and the mother 1676-Josha was rescued as well. They are all staying in Anima. SPP1662-Tanmi, around three years and three months old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd June 2016 already pregnant and had seven puppies today, 1746-Henley, 1747-Hansel, 1748-Haydon, 1749-Hilton, 1750-Hella, 1751-Honey and 1752-Hena. Anima – June Rescue (C1220-Ribena)!

C1220-Ribena (F), around three years old, was rescued by Anima on 19th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan around 11:30 pm reporting that a cat, C1220-Ribena, was found in the car park of Tong Wa San Chun and was not able to move. C1219-Temple (M), around two weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 18th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that a kitten, C1219-Temple, was found in a carton box at Calçada da Barra near A-Ma Temple. Anima – Macau Foundation Visited Us in June!

Today 18 people visited us, 6 of them from Macau Foundation for making a movie about our work and interview our President! Macau Foundation is our biggest donor and without its support Anima would not be able to financially survive! Our building was built thanks to the generosity of Macau Foundation who financed all, including our old shelter. Macau Foundation helps us every year to pay part of our costs with staff and expenses with animals! Thanks for your strong support! Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to May 2016, Anima received 3,270 visitors, an increase of 21.92% as compared with the same period of last year! The number of groups visiting us increased to 29 groups!
