Anima-February Rescue and New SPP (SPP2342-Justin)!

<13-02-2021> SPP2342-Justin (M), around three years old, is now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). He was living under Ms. So's responsibility in a site near Hac Sa. Today, we received a call from Ms. So reporting that Justin got bitten by other dogs. His right front leg has several deep wounds. Justin was rescued by our team and sent to a clinic. He will remain hospitalized for the time being and will be welcomed into our shelter once recovered. Please help us to help them! If you want us to help them, you must help us adopting or fostering! Anima–January Rescue (C2694-Benz)!

<31-01-2022> C2694-Benz (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 31st January 2022, after a fakebook message from Mr. António referring that he picked up a kitten in the middle of Friendship Bridge and kept him temporarily inside his car. He asked us help. The kitten was picked up by our rescue team and sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, C2694-Benz was breathing with difficulty. Blood tests showed anaemia, inflammation, and jaundice. Also, an X-ray showed some shadows on his right lung, suspected from a pulmonary haemorrhage. C2694-Benz will be hospitalized until recover. Anima–January Rescue (C2691, C2692, C2693)!

<25-01-2022> C2691-Evelyn (F), C2692-Pappy (F) and C2693-Toffee (F), all around 14 days old, was rescued by Anima on 25th January 2022, after a message from Mr. Choi referring that those three kittens were trapped in his car engine at the car parking of Edifício Villa Bela. He asked us help. All were rescued and sent immediately to a vet clinic. C2691-Evelyn, C2692-Pappy and C2693-Toffee were hospitalized for one night and they will be welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima–January Rescue (C2690-Yolando)!

<20-01-2022> C2689-Yolando (M), around five years old, was rescued by Anima on 20th January 2022, after a message from Ms. Cheong referring that she saw an injured cat near the Buddhist Temple at Escada do Papel. Our Rescue team went to the site but couldn’t find the cat. Today, we were informed by another lady, Ms. Ng, that the injured cat, C2690-Yolando, showed up in that area again. He was caught by a volunteer called Ms. Wong and he was brought to a vet clinic for consultation. C2690-Yolando will be hospitalized until get better and be welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Anima-January Adoption (C2658-Lolita)!

<10-01-2022> Lolita was adopted today by Ms. Ferreira! Five cats were rescued by Anima on 4th November 2021: C2658-Lolita (F), a British shorthair around 12 years old back then, as well as C2659-Chantel (F), around three and a half years old, along with her three-month-old kittens C2660-Gumpty (F), C2661-Humpty (M) and C2662-Dumpty (M). Anima–December Rescue and Return (SPP1902-Farley)!

<28-12-2021> SPP1902-Farley (M), around four years old back then, has been under our SPP program since the 23rd June 2017, and now he is under Mr. Leong’s responsibility in Coloane Water Treatment Company. Recently, Anima received a call from Mr. Leong reporting that SPP1902-Farley was hit by a car. He asked our help. SPP1902-Farley was sent to a clinic through our rescue team. X-ray result showed a fracture. His right back hip joint already had a problem since long time ago. According to the vet, a surgery would have some risks and he would never have a fully recover from it. SPP1902-Farley was staying inside a cage for two months treatment, to limit his mobility and recheck after that time. The fracture part healed by itself. Anima–December Rescue (C2682, C2683, C2684, C2685, C2686)!

<27-12-2021> A mother cat, C2682-Lisa (F), around two and a half years old, together with her four kittens, C2683-Lailah (F), C2684-Leanna (F), C2685-Loki (M) and C2686-Lester (M), all around three weeks old, were rescued by Anima on 27th December 2021. A couple days ago, we were asked for assistance, requested from Ms. Cheong reporting that her father had been feeding a cat on Edf. Industrial Kin Ip 8/F, where he works. However, he’s retiring and no one can continue to feed the cat anymore. All cats, Lisa and her kittens, were found at the same place and welcomed to our Cats’ Paradise. Thanks, Ms. Cheong! <19-12-2021> While Anima’s efforts might seem to be mostly focused on dogs and cats, our protection is often extended to other species. Yesterday, a Sugar Glider was rescued by Anima! SG001-Wes (M), around six months old, was rescued following a call from Mr. Lau reporting to have found him in Parque de Seac Pai Van. Wes was brought to our Cats’ Paradise and, fortunately, we soon found people interested in adopting him. Today, Wes was adopted by Mr. Cheng! Thank you so much for adopting, Mr. Cheng!
