Anima–April Rescue and Return (B147-Morgan)!

<27-04-2020> B147-Morgan, a wild young hawk-cuckoo, was rescued by Anima on 27th April 2020, after a call from Mr. Alahakoon informing us that a young bird, B147-Morgan, was found at R. da Patinagem and he was unable to fly. He asked us to help. Morgan was sent to a clinic where he recovered and was ready to go back to nature. B147-Morgan was released to the trail near ANIMA today! Thanks, Mr. Alahakoon! Anima–April Rescue and Return (SPP2241-Ah Mui)!

<25-04-2020> SPP2241-Ah Mui (F), around 12 years old and under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 9th March 2020, was rescued by Anima on 9th April 2020, after a call from Mr. O referring that SPP2241-Ah Mui had an eye problem. After diagnosis, it was suspected that SPP2241-Ah Mui had Blepharitis on the left eye and also Fungal Infection (Skin Problem) on the tail. She was sent to a Clinic for further examination as there was not improvement. Medical exams showed that Ah Mui’s right eye had swelling cornea and suspect her left eye had a cataract. SPP2241-Ah Mui was returned to Templo de A-Ma (Barra) after consultation and medication prescribed. Thanks, Mr. O! Please help us to help them! Anima–April Rescue (C2322, C2323, C2324)!

<25-04-2020> C2322-Quin (M), C2323-Quinta (F) and C2324-Queeny (F), all kittens around 2 weeks old, were rescued by ANIMA on 25th April 2020, after received a case referral from AniHelp – Oscar regarding that 3 kittens were found directly on the ground and under bushes by Mr. Lao at Jardim de Luís de Camões. He asked us to help. They are very weak with hypothermia, eyes discharge and yellowish nose discharges. <22-04-2020> B146-Cheetie, a young dove, was rescued by Anima on 22nd April 2020, after a call from our staff Zoe reported that a bird had been hiding under a van on R. de Kun Iam Tong, as reported by workers from a mechanic shop. Anima–Rescue and Sad News (SPP2228; SPP2219; SPP2218)!

<22-04-2020> The puppies, SPP2219-Julien and SPP2228-Judia, around five months old, were rescued by Anima on the 22nd April 2020, after a call from Ms. Choi reporting that the puppy Julien had vomited the food he ate which was dog dry food plus some rice. SPP2218-Juliana, another sibling, was found dead this morning. It was suspected that Juliana could have parvovirus due to the sudden death. Julien was tested for parvovirus and results showed positive. All the puppies were vaccinated before. SPP2228-Judia and SPP2219-Julien stay under treatment and separated from other dogs now. <21-04-2020> C2321-Wallie (M), around one month old, was rescued by Anima on the 21st April 2020, after a call from Ms. Mak reporting that she found a sick kitten at the motorcycle parking on waterfront in Fai Chi Kei and her friend Mr. Yin was currently keeping him but not for a long period. <20-04-2020> SPP2146-Barbie (F), around 3 years old, mother dog of SPP2148-Banko (M), around one year and five months old, together are under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since 6th August, 2019. SPP2148-Banko and SPP2146-Barbie with her new 4 puppies, 2266-Bryson (M), 2267-Blythe (F), 2268-Blair (F) and 2269-Barbara (F), all around 3 months old, were caught by IAM on 5th April 2020. Anima–April Rescue (SPP2256-Kelsie)!

<16-04-2020> SPP2256-Kelsie (F), around 6 months old and now under our SPP at Ka Ho Workshop, was rescued by Anima on the 16th April 2020, after a call from Ms. Wong reporting that the female dog had not been seen eating for 5 days and vomited a yellowish fluid. Kelsie was sent to the clinic for make medical exams. Results showed that SPP2256-Kelsie is positive for anaplasmosis (bacterial infection). SPP2256-Kelsie will be staying in Anima for treatment.
