Anima–January Rescue (SPP1990-Bongo)!

<29-01-2018> SPP1990-Bongo (M), around two years old, under our Special Protection Program now, was rescued by Anima on 29th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Peng reporting that a dog was found unable to move in a site. SPP1990-Bongo had a fight and needed few stitches to close up the wound. He was returned to his place after surgery and medication prescribed. Ms. Peng is responsible for him in that area. Anima-Our Lady of Fatima Girl’s school visited us!

<28-01-2018> Today, 60 people visited us, four of them were from Our Lady of Fatima Girl's school that came to our Cat’s Paradise as volunteers! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2017, we had 9,251 visitors an increase of 23% as compared with 7,519 in 2016! 137 groups of schools, associations, companies and friends have visited us, an increase of 7%! We have been in 34 events organized by friends or by us! Anima–January Adoption (C1786-Kathy)!

<28-01-2018> C1786-Kathy was adopted by Ms. Karpova on 28th January 2018! C1786-Kathy (F), was rescued by Anima on 27th November 2017, when she was around six months old, after a call from Mr. Wong reporting that a cat had fallen down from the building and was unable to move. He asked us to help. C1786-Kathy was sent to a clinic and stayed there for observation. She has recovered and was adopted today. Thanks Ms. Karpova! Please Adopt and never Buy! January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1985-SPP1989)!

<28-01-2018> SPP1985-Marika (F), around four years old, SPP1986-Midian (M) and SPP1987-Miner (M), both around two years old, SPP1988-Miles (M), around one year old, SPP1989-Milton (M), around four months old, under our Special Protection Program now, were rescued by Anima on 28th January 2018, after a call from Ms. Lo reporting that she used to feed stray dogs in an area but some of them seems sick recently. SPP1985-Marika was found under a car and looked unconscious, the others have nasal and ocular discharges with coughing. She was sent to a clinic immediately and the distemper test showed positive. According to the vet, there’s nothing we could do for her as the virus already attacked her nervous system, brain and spinal cord. SPP1985-Marika started having convulsions, seizures and paralysis. <27-01-2018> Today, 40 people visited us, 25 of them were from Sheng Kung Hui Choi Kou School Macau that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Anima–January Rescue and Sad News (SPP1406-Money)!

<24-01-2018> SPP1406-Money (F), was rescued by Anima already dead on 24th January 2018. SPP1406-Money was under our Special Protection Program since 7th February 2015, when she was around 4.5 years old, and  lived in a friendly association, somewhere in Coloane. We were informed that SPP1406-Money was sick on 7th December 2017. Blood test showed that SPP1406-Money had parasitic infections and she might also had kidney problems. She was sent to a clinic for second opinion. SPP1406-Money had skin problem, heart problem and little fluid in her lung. She stayed in the clinic for treatment since then. She got better and was returned to her place. We were informed that SPP1406-Money has escaped from her place and was killed by a truck. We collected the body to be delivered to Macau kennel. Anima–Abandonment and Return (C845-York)!

<23-01-2018> C845-York (M), around three years old now, was rescued by Anima on 25th November 2015, after a call from Ms. Iam reporting that a kitten was found under a car in the Car Park of Taipa Central Park. C845-York was adopted on 16th April 2015. However, we received a call from the adopter one week ago telling that his son has allergies and needs to have a surgery as his nose was blocked. Anima–January Return (SPPC1711, SPPC1825)!

<22-01-2018> SPPC1711-Abigail (F), was under our Special Protection Program, when she was around four months old, after rescued by Anima on 12th September 2017, by a call from Michele reporting that a kitten needed medical support. SPPC1711-Abigail had high fever with sonorous breathing, ocular discharge and upper respiratory tract infections. She was back to her place after medication prescribed. SPPC1825-Ubon (F), around eight months old, was under our SPP Program, after rescued by Anima on 18th January 2018, by a call from Michele reporting that a cat needed to be spayed. <22-01-2018> C1761-Ionna was adopted by Ms. Yung on 22nd January 2018! C1761-Ionna (F), was rescued by Anima on 14th November 2017, when she was around 2.5 months old, after a call from Mr. Cheong reporting that he found a kitten with severe eyes infection and weak in Areia Preta. C1761-Ionna was checked in our clinic. She had slight fever, swollen eyes and nasal discharge. She was under medication and stayed in our Cat's Paradise. She has recovered and was adopted today.
