Anima–June Sad News (447-Iris)!

<15-06-2021> 447-Iris, one of our oldest dogs, has been living in our Dogs’ Shelter for a few years. Recently, she was coughing several times. After X-Ray exams and blood test results, she was initially diagnosed with heart murmur and pericardial effusions. However, after more medical exams and according with a vet, she has a tumor. 447-Iris have been hospitalized in the vet clinic for treatment. Unfortunately, despite all medical efforts, she did not survive. R.I.P. our friend! Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Adoption (C2528-Olive)!

<14-06-2021> Olive was adopted today, by Ms. Kuan! C2528-Olive (F), around six months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, after a message on Facebook from Mr. Tiago asking if we could collect her as the kitten was very friendly and easy to approach. Mr. Tiago thought that Olive might had an owner, and she was lost. Our rescue team passed by the area. Olive was found inside of a shop to whom it was asked if she belongs there. Both, the shop staff and the owner, said that Olive is a stray cat that would sometimes come in, either to get food or attention. Rescue team collected C2528-Olive and she was welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Today, C2528-Olive finally found the love of a new family! Thanks Ms. Kuan, for choosing to adopt her! Anima–June Sad News (C2093-Spenlia)!

<13-06-2021> Our cat C2093-Spenlia has passed away today. Among several health issues, Spenlia had been suffering from severe pancreatitis and, despite all medical care, her health continued to deteriorate. Following veterinary medical advice and consent given by several Anima board members, Spenlia was euthanized in a clinic in an effort to shorten her agony. R.I.P. our friend! Anima-June Adoption (2417-Nena)!

<12-06-2021> Our Nena was adopted today by Ms. Fong! 2417-Nena (F) was rescued by Anima on 15th October 2020, when she was one year old. She was collected by Anima after a call reporting that a cat had fallen into a patio at Edf. Mayfair Court in Rua de Francisco António. Nena was rescued and hospitalized in a clinic, as her pelvis was fractured. After recovery, she was welcomed into our Cats’ Paradise. Today, Nena found a forever family. She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site at Povoação de Lai Chi Vun. Anima will support with a spay surgery in order to prevent her from getting pregnant. Anima–June Rescue and Return (SPP2370-Sai Ngan Mui)!

<12-06-2021> SPP2370-Sai Ngan Mui (F), a dog around one year old, is under our Special Protection Program (SPP) since June 12th, 2021. She is living under Ms. Chan’s responsibility in a construction site in Cotai. To prevent her from getting pregnant, Sai Ngan Mui was rescued today and sent to a clinic, in order to be neutered. Spayed and recovered, Sai Ngan Mui was returned to the original site after surgery. These efforts are part of Anima’s commitment to reduce the number of stray dogs in Macau. Never Abandon your pets! Anima–June Rescue (2372-Wong Choi Mui)!

<12-06-2021> 2372-Wong Choi Mui (F), a 16-year-old dog, was rescued by Anima on 12 June 2021, following a call from Ms. Ieong, an Anima Board Member, reporting that a skinny dog was found wandering on the road of Praia Do Manduco. Our team was mobilized and noticed the dog was microchipped. IAM was informed and assisted us contacting the owner. The owner, however, claimed to be unable to continue taking care of the dog due to financial reasons. Wong Choi Mui was diagnosed with Mammary Gland Tumor and Pyometra last year and has, inclusively, received surgery. Wong Choi Mui was then welcomed into our Dogs’ Shelter. Anima–June Rescue (SPP1713-Hac Chai II)!

<08-06-2021> SPP1713-Hac Chai II, an old dog from our Special Protection Program (SPP) and living in the kennel, was rescued by Anima on 8th June 2021, after a call from one of our handlers reporting that she found him peeing blood. SPP1713-Hac Chai II was sent to a clinic. Blood test results and an X-ray showed anemia and bladder problems. Hac Chai II will be hospitalized in the vet clinic for treatment. Anima-June Adoption (C2565, C2567)!

<05-06-2021> Sofia and Antonio were adopted today by Mr. Wong! Our cat, C2528-Olive gave birth to three kittens! Olive was rescued by Anima on 25th February 2021, following a Facebook message reporting that a friendly cat had been wandering near Patio do Gil. We soon found out that she was pregnant.
