Anima-October Sad News (C1574-Wendi)!

<02-10-2020> C1574-Wendi (F) and C1575-Wolf (F), around two years and five years old by the time, respectively, were rescued by Anima on the 3rd June 2017, after a call from Ms. Sandy, informing that she rescued them in Guia where she used to feed cats, but the cats there were being poisoned. She asked us to help. They were checked by our vet and de-wormed. C1574-Wendi was spayed and welcome to our Cats’ Paradise. Recently, her condition was getting worst due to her respiratory problems. Medication was not enough to help Wendi improving because secondary effects. Wendi was suffering already for long time. After discussing with the vet, and approved by tow Anima board members, she was euthanized today in no pain conditions. Anima-September Sad News (613-Bruce)!

<27-09-2020> 613-Bruce (F) was in our shelter for almost ten years. Her condition deteriorated steadily after the first signs of health issues, when she started to get thinner. Further examination revealed anemia and early signs of kidney problems. Veterinary doctors also suspected that she could suffer of gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal tumor or Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She was hospitalized in a private clinic for several weeks without encouraging results, despite all efforts. Today, we were informed that Bruce passed away in the clinic. R.I.P., our friend! Anima–September Adoption (C2339-Bennie)!

<27-09-2020> Bennie was adopted by Ms. Lin! C2339-Bennie (M), around three years old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 18th of May, 2020 following a call from Mr. Lam reporting that he heard the sound of a falling object on an alley near Rua do Padre João Clímaco and found a black and white cat lying there, inactive. Due to the heavy rain, he moved the cat to a shop nearby. Our rescue team went to the site and collected the cat. He had a visible small wound on his right front arm and was sent to Macau Kennel for consultation. X-ray result showed his pubic bone was broken and had some fluid on his lungs. His spine was also tilted. He had a lot of fleas and was defleaed at Macau Kennel. C2339-Bennie was then sent to a private clinic for consultation and treatment. On...

Anima–September Adoption (C2307-Orpah)!

<27-09-2020> Orpah was adopted by Ms. Fong! C2307-Orpah (F), around four months old by the time, was rescued by Anima on the 20th March, 2020 after a call from Mr. Ao reporting that a kitten was trapped inside a high air-vent on top of Royal Electronics Square on Luen San Square. The kitten had been seen there a couple days ago already. The Fire Department have, inclusively, visited the site but apparently without success. Our rescue team evaluated the site and was able to see the kitten at the vent, around 3-4 meters high, to which we had to request the assistance of I.A.M. (Macau Kennel). The air-vent was tightly locked and I.A.M. suggested setting a cat trap above the ceiling of Royal Electronics Supermarket on the next day, once the store was open. Anima-September Rescue (C2396-Siu Yuen)!

22-09-2020> C2396-Siu Yuen (F), around 10 days old, was rescued by Anima on 22th September 2020, after a call from Ms. Ma reporting that her friend found a small kitten lying next to a wall near Escola Luso-Chinesa da Taipa after hearing a strange sound and suspected the kitten had fallen from the high wall. The kitten was sent to a clinic for consultation. According to the vet, C2396-Siu Yuen needs to rest and be milk feeding by someone. Ms. Ma and her friends cannot take care of the kitten due to their work schedule, but they brought C2396-Siu Yuen to Anima. Siu Yuen was temporarily fostered by our supervisor, Ms. Zoe.
