Anima–February Sad News (SPPC1837-Sara)!

<10-02-2018> SPPC1837-Sara (F) and SPPC1838-Laurel (F), both around seven months old,  under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 4th February 2018 through Michele. They were found sick, vomiting and not eating. The blood test showed SPPC1837-Sara was anemic with renal problem and infection. She was also dehydrated and with hypothermia. We put her under fluid dripping with warm bag. Unfortunately we found SPPC1837-Sara passed away this morning. R.I.P. my friend! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima–February Adoption (C1822-Cass)!

<10-02-2018> Cass was adopted by Ms. Ho on 10th February 2018! C1822-Cass (F), was rescued by Anima on 8th January 2018 when was around 1.5 months old, after a call from Mr. Chan reporting that a kitten was found in a bank near Nam Van, with a dead body of her sibling beside. Anima-UMAC Honours College visited us!

<10-02-2018> Today, 68 people visited us, 20 of them were from Umac Honours College that came to our Dog Shelter! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima–SPP Return (SPP1994-Siu Hac)!

<10-02-2018> SPP1994-Siu Hac (M), around three years old, SPP1995-On Chai (M), around two years old, SPP1993-Shar Pei (M), around two years old,  under our Special Protection Program, were rescued by Anima on 4th February during our daily feeding. They live in Marble Factory  under Mr. Yip’s responsibility. Our rescue team found that they lost appetite and were worried that all  of them had  Canine Distemper. We sent them to a clinic for test. SPP1993-Shar Pei and SPP1995-On Chai had Canine Distemper and Tick Fever. SPP1994-Siu Hac had Canine Distemper. They have stayed in the clinic for treatment. Today SPP1994-Siu Hac has recovered and he could return to his place. Mr. Yip will take care of him in the area. Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pets! <09-02-2018> 1134-Tidy (M), was rescued by Anima on 25 August 2013 when he was around 8 years old. He was found abandoned in Rua Cinco de Outubro and was almost caught by a car.  He was adopted by Ms. Wong on 12th April 2015. Anima-Temporary Accommodation (1997-Woody)!

<08-02-2018> 1997-Woody, is now accommodated in Anima for 18 days, until 26th February 2018! This program is mainly available to members and adopters at special rates provided we have enough space. For dogs, 70 patacas per day and for cats 40 patacas per day. In case of members, the membership fees must be update and fully paid for all the year (MOP 600). Who has adopted one animal from Anima does not pay any accommodation fee in the first year of adoption provided the period of accommodation does not exceed 15 days! Anima–February Sad News (604-Si Si)!

<08-02-2018> Si Si was around ten years old now and had been with us since long time ago! 604-Si Si (F), a Husky dog, was rescued by Anima on 3rd December 2010 when she was around two years old. She was caught by a car near the Jockey Club area and had to submit to a surgery to cut one of the legs and repair the others. She was abandoned by the family. Recently we found Si Si inappetence, got pasty diarrhea, inflamed anus and vulva. She was unable to move and stand yesterday. We sent her to a clinic and the result showed that she has kidney problem and started to have nerve problem. She was suffering and was not improving. After discussion with the vet and approved by two of our board members, we made a sad decision to put her sleep. Last decision belongs always to the President of Anima,...

<07-02-2018> Misty was adopted by Mr. Lai on 7th February 2018! C1456-Misty (F), was rescued by Anima on 14th March 2017 when was around nine months old, after a call from Ms. Bing informing that she has 16 cats but she was sick and needed to have a surgery. C1456-Misty was brought by Ms. Bing’s son to Cats’ Paradise. She was checked by our vet and dewormed. On 1st September 2017, she was fostered by Mr. Dennis. Anima – February Rescue (SPP1996-Ultraman)!

<07-02-2018> SPP1996-Ultraman (M), around five years old, now under our special protection program, was rescued by Anima on 7th February 2018, after a call from a worker Mr. Chow informing that SPP1996-Ultraman lives on a site and is sick. SPP1996-Ultraman has nasal discharge and low appetite. He might contracted Canine distemper as he lives near the site where some dogs got canine distemper and tick fever a few days ago.
