July Abandonment and Rescue (C1239 to C1243)!

<22-07-2016> 1239-Handsome (M, de-sexed), C1240-B Loi (F), C1241-Playful (F), C1242-Fei Mui (F, de-sexed) and C1243-Pineapple (M, de-sexed) were rescued by Anima after a call from Ms. Lou informing that she wants to abandon her nine cats. That was not the first time she tried to do that. Last time the daughter didn’t authorize. After talk she changed her mind and decided  to abandon the five most active cats promising to find a good home for the remaining. This is cruelty! Do you know that by our new law cats can be abandoned without any penalty? Do you know that the majority of animals abandoned are cats? Do you know that Anima was against this? Anima – July Rescue and Return (SPP1700-Debbie)!

<21-07-2016> SPP1700-Debbie (F), around 1.5 years old, was rescued by Anima on 21st July 2016, after a call from Mr. Kwok. SPP1700-Debbie was under our Special Protection from 17th April, 2016. She lives somewhere in Coloane with four puppies (SPP1701-Darlin, SPP1702-Delina, SPP1703-Demi and SPP1704-Dorie) and Mr. Kwok is responsible for them in that area. SPP1700-Debbie was spayed today and returned to her place after the surgery. As she has a transmissible venereal tumor, she began to have treatment once a week. After finishing the treatment, if the tumor has reduced, she will have a surgery to remove it. Thanks Mr. Kwok! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – July Rescue (H010 to H012, L001 to L003)!

<21-07-2016> H010-Flower, an hamster, H011-Violet, H012-Poppy, both Gerbils, L001-Toby, L002-Lucy, L003-Roby, lizards, were rescued by Anima on 21st July 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina, referring that two students, Diaby and Noson, from Escola Kao Yip, have rescued those animals as the school was moving to a new location and decided not to keep them anymore. They ask for our help! They were all collected to Anima. It is a problem to us as we are full but we will do the maximum we can to repair the cruelty of that school that just abandoned them! With schools like that how can our kids be properly educated against cruelty and love to other species and nature? Anima – July Rescue and Sad News (B035-Quip)!

<20-07-2016> B035-Quip was rescued by Anima on 20th July 2016, after a call from Mr. Ao reporting that a bird was found in Sacred Heart Canossian College. Quip was not able to fly but no superficial injuries was found on the body. Quip was sent to a clinic and checked by the vet. An injection and anti-inflammatory was given to Quip. The neck of Quip was broken and the vet said that the survival rate was very low even after the medication. Unfortunately Quip passed away half an hour after arriving Anima. Thanks Mr. Ao! Anima – July Rescue and Sad News (C1237-Bean)!

<19-07-2016> C1237-Bean (M), around two weeks old, was rescued by Anima on 19th July 2016, after a call from Mr. Hau reporting that a kitten was found in a box near Edificio Ip Heng in Seac Pai Van. Bean was very weak and not moving much. He was collected to Anima and checked by our vet. His both eyes were inflamed with yellowish discharge and nasal discharge. He had been milk feeding since morning but unfortunately he passed away in the afternoon. Thanks Mr. Hau! R.I.P. my friend! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – July Adoption (C1201-Greer)!

<18-07-2016> Greer was adopted by David on 18th July 2016! C1201-Greer (M),  C1202-Gliton (M) and C1203-Gorman (M) were born by SPPC1194-Glenda on 24th May 2016. SPPC1194-Glenda (F), on the time around ten months old, was under our Special Protection Program since 18th May 2016, when she was found pregnant and brought to Anima by Michele. Anima – July Rescue (R028-Snowball)!

<17-07-2016> R028-Snowball (F), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 17th July 2016, after a call from Ms. Hoi reporting that a rabbit was found at the Observatory of Altinho de Ka-Ho. Ms. Hoi found her running near the cars in a car park and called us for help. Snowball was brought to shelter and had a body check. Anima – July Adoption (C643-Antos)!

<17-07-2016> Antos was adopted by Mr. Ao on 17th July 2016! C643-Antos (M), together with C641-Anika (F) and C642-Andrea (F), were born by C639-Cheong Ming in shelter on 9th February 2014. The mother Cheong Ming  rescued on 6th February 2014 near Bras da Rosa  was already pregnant. We picked her up to Anima for  giving birth. Today Antos was adopted! Thanks Mr. Ao! Sheng Kung Hui Taipa Youth Service Team Visited Us!

<16-07-2016> Today, 32 people visited us, 18 of them were from Sheng Kung Hui Taipa Youth Service Team! Thanks for your strong support! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Pets are for life! More and more visitors come to Anima! In 2015, we had 5,768 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 5,511 in 2014! This year, up to June 2016, Anima received 3,672 visitors, an increase of 23.93% as compared with the same period of last year!
