Anima in E-Memory event of Estrela do Mar School!

Anima was invited to participate in the event E-Memory, organized by the students of the school Estrela do Mar in Macau. The event began at around 5:30 pm with around 100 students in the beginning, and as usual the speeches came first: by the Principal of the school, followed by our President and Ms. Paulina Luk, our Executive Director. Our messages were about animals, our code of ethics and how can they help us helping the animals! All the event was totally organized by the students with a lot of music. The net income of the event will be donated to Anima by the students’ decision! Thanks for your strong support! Anima – July Adoption (C1190-Jaydon)!

Jaydon was adopted by João on 8th July 2016! C1190-Jaydon (M), around three months old, was rescued by Anima on 10th May 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that she found a kitten in the middle of the road near Nova City. She picked up Jaydon and brought him to Anima. Now Jaydon was adopted!. Thanks João! Please help us to help them! Please adopt and never buy! Anima – July Rescue (C1229-Snowie)!

C1229-Snowie (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 6th July 2016, after a call from Mr. Cheung reporting that a cat was found on Rua de Inácio Baptista. Her body was full of fleas. Mr. Cheung brought her to the nearby pet shop and asked if we could collect her. C1229-Snowie was brought to Anima and checked by out vet. The temperature was low, she was skinny and slightly dehydrated. C1229-Snowie is fostered temporarily by our cat Supervisor Ms. Ah Peng as she is not able to eat by herself. Thanks Mr. Cheung! Anima – July Abandonment and Rescue (1758-Batman)!

1758-Batman, around four years old, was rescued by Anima on 3rd July 2016. Yesterday morning when our staff arrived in Anima there was food near our gate and a leash tied up to it. Probably a dog was abandoned there last night. As there was a heavy rain the dog may got scared and escaped. Today this dog in the picture was around Anima and yesterday was found unleashed near Helen Garden! We looked for him and he was found near Anima in the road Altinho de Ka-Ho which is a very dangerous road. He was lying near the cars around the water reservoir. Our staff slowly get his confidence and put him in the rescue van. He is now with us! We are ashamed of who did that! He could be killed! Anima – July Abandonment!

Yesterday morning when our staff arrived in Anima there was food near our gate and a leash tied up to it. Probably a dog was abandoned there last night. Anima – June Adoption (C1150-Rum)!

Rum was now adopted by Ms. Chi! SPPC1128-Maxi was rescued in Taipa on 19th February and was found pregnant before the de-sex surgery on 25th February. She had babies, on 29th March 2016: C1146-Jinn, C1147-Visky, C1148-Borbon, C1149-Vocca and C1150-Rum. Now Rum was adopted! Thanks Ms. Chi! Please help us to help them! Anima – We have visited the Macau Portuguese School!

Anima has visited on 30th June 2016, at 10:00 am, the Macau Portuguese School (Escola Portuguesa de Macau) invited by Prof. Zélia de Oliveira Baptista. The kids have organized an event in May and have collected a donation to Anima. We agreed to pay a visit to them with four of our animals to collect the donation and to thank all of them for this precious support. It was a nice event where the kids show their love to the animals, and a good perception about the rights of the animals! Thank you Prof. Zélia, all teachers that joint us and all kids that enjoyed the experience! Thank you for trusting us and supporting our work! Education is the key issue for changing the cruelty environment against animals. Anima – June Rescue (1756-Canaan)!

1756-Canaan (F), around two months old, was rescued by Anima on 29th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Chan reporting that a puppy was found in a carton box in a construction site of MGM, completed wet, shaking and barely moving. We picked up Canaan and she was checked by our vet. Parvovirus  and Distemper tests were  both negative. She had difficulty in breathing and the gums were pale and the  right eye was blind. We suspected she was hit by a car. She was sent to a clinic for further consultation and examination. Blood test showed she is anemic. She is staying in clinic under IV dripping now and an X-ray will be done afterwards. Thanks Ms. Chan! Please help us to help them! Never Abandon your pet! Anima – June Abandonment and Rescue (H002 to H004)!

H002-Ham Ham (F), H003-Maru (F), H004-Fufu (M), all around 4 months old, were rescued by Anima on 28th June 2016, after a call from Mr. Fong reporting that he didn’t want to keep his three hamsters because they had fleas. Anima – June Sad News (SPP1754-Boy)!

SPP1754-Boy (M), around six months old, was rescued by Anima on 25th June 2016, after a call from Ms. Gina reporting that a puppy, SPP1754-Boy, now under our Special Protection Program was abandoned by the owner in Taipa near a place where we have two people working for us helping tens of dogs. Boy has severe attacks of epilepsy. He has been checked in one clinic but the prescription was not being effective. So, we decided to move to another clinic where he stayed overnight for observation. Boy went in suffer and after the vet favorable opinion and two board members we decided to put in sleeping! R.I.P my friend! Please don’t be cruel!
