Anima – December Adoption (1532-Joa)!

1532-Joa and 1533-Jamie, both females, 1530-Jerome, 1531-Jeremy, both males, all one day old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd September 2015, after a call from Mr. Zheng, regarding four puppies that were born in his house by her dog a Schnauzer this morning. She was 15 years old and it was the seventh time she got pregnant. She had no milk at all! All of them have been fostered by our supervisor Ms. Zoe as they need milk every four hours, day and night! Joa was adopted on 23rd November, returned few days afterwards and now adopted by Mr. Lee. All siblings are now adopted! Thanks Mr. Lee! Please Adopt and Never Buy! Anima – Message from the President!

We receive everyday several calls for rescuing animals. When this happens, Anima send its rescue team to the place and analyze case by case. Usually we make this analysis mainly for dogs as we have no capacity for receiving them. Our decision depend only if the animal is in risk or not and is not usually an easy decision! We feel the pressure and the stress every time we have to do that! In Anima, we have dogs in corridors, in the association area, in the vet area where we should have vet equipment and only sick animals (we are postponing the buying of equipment for our vet clinic mainly because of that, which complicates our life and makes our costs increasing substantially), in front of elevators, in the terrace and sometimes even in toilets. Cheng Yu Tung College of University of Macau Visited us!

Today 11 people visited us, 9 students from Cheng Yu Tung College of University of Macau. More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of November, we had 5,318 visitors an increase of 5.1% as compared with 5,059 in the same period of 2014! 52 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! Anima – December new SPP (SPP1592 to SPP1598)!

Six puppies, SPP1592-Benton, SPP1593-Bevis, SPP1594-Bond, SPP1595-Benton, SPP1596-Basia, SPP1597-Belva and the mother, SPP1598-Benita are now under our Special Protection Program (SPP). Anima – December Sad News (C652-Baldur)!

C652-Baldur died today! Please see a good picture of him before getting sick! Baldur was one of the five babies of SPPC638-Big Eye (C649 to C653) rescued from a site near a restaurant in February 2014. They were born on 24 February 2014. C652-Baldur was FECV positive, but we decided that he should live as much as possible unless enters in suffer. He was in our B14 area, an area closed to public, for animals severely sick! As we suspected  that he began to enter in suffer he was sent to a clinic, dying there of a lot complications including renal failure! C652-Baldur died today! R.I.P. my friend! Anima – December Rescue (C1080-Drake)!

C1080-Drake was taken to Anima after a call from Ms. Leah reporting that C1080-Drake, a male, was rescued by her two years ago and was with her up to now. According to her the cat became more aggressive recently and began to bully another cat. She asked if we can keep him. We decided to help Drake even disagreeing with the owner. He will loose his family and his house environment! He is now in our quarantine area B13 for 10 days, and later will be released in our cat main area where we have almost one hundred animals. Anima – November Adoption Day!

Anima has an adoption day outside Anima on the last Sunday of every month. Around 50 people have visited! Anima was supported in this event by nine volunteers, Patrick (Exmoo News),Yvonne (Exmoo News), Jay (Exmoo News), Terence (Exmoo News), Kam Chai (Exmoo News), Vailent, Dannie, Kay and Mariana and took seven of our dogs. Today in the adoption day we received two applications for godparents and one application for volunteers. Please do not buy, Adopt! Sheng Kung Hui Pui To Middle School has visited us!

Today 61 people has visited us, 29 from Sheng Kung Hui Pui To Middle School! More and more visitors come to Anima! Anima – November Adoption (C1074-Petri)!

C1074-Petri was rescued by Anima on 17th November 2015, after a call from Ms. Mok reporting that a kitten, around four months old, was found in Porto Exterior (external maritime terminal) the night before and had diarrhea.
