Anima – November Adoption (1531-Jeremy)!

1530-Jerome, 1531-Jeremy, both males, 1532-Joa and 1533-Jamie, both females, all one day old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd September 2015, after a call from Mr. Zheng, regarding four puppies that were born this morning in his house by her dog, a Schnauzer. She was 15 years old and it was the seventh time she got pregnant. She had no milk at all! We consider this as irresponsibility! However, we decided to help the puppies and our Supervisor took them home to feed them every night time. Morning time they were fed in Anima headquarters by her! Today Jeremy was adopted by Ms. Lou! Anima – November Rescue and Return (S008-Greenie)!

S008-Greenie is a snake that entered in Anima and was rescued by our staff near the cat area. Anima receives sometimes this kind of visitors and our job is to help them to return to a safety place. Happily it didn’t enter in any dog’s pen otherwise will be killed, as happened with others in the past. She was immediately put in the bush nearby. If you know animals in suffer or in risk, please call us! Anima –ABC NEWS AUSTRALIA visited us!

Today ABC News Australia has visited us from around 12:00 to 16:30! ABC News Australia is one of the most important TV stations of Australia and came to Macau to prepare an extensive coverage of the situation of our Greyhounds in Macau and in Australia. They also want to know better Anima that is fighting for closing the Canidrome and for the welfare of all animals in Macau. More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! In 2015, up to the end of October, we had 4,761 visitors an increase of 4.7% as compared with 4,549 in the same period of 2014! 47 groups of schools, associations and companies have visited us! Anima –Exmoo News visited us and IACM as volunteers!

Today 13 people visited us, six were volunteers from Exmoo News! They came again to do volunteer work, this time under the supervision of our rescue team that took them to Coloane kennel where Anima handles 31 dogs, under an agreement with IACM for keeping them alive and around some areas outside Anima controlled by our team! More and more visitors come to Anima! Last year we have 5,511 visitors as compared with 5,032 visitors in 2013, an increase of around 9.5%! ANIMA-Donation Event from IFT!

“The 6th Macau Slow Food Awards & Gala Dinner “ was organized by IFT and was held on 18 Nov 2015 at IFT Education Restaurant. The amount of the income, after deducting the costs, will be donated to ANIMA! Several ANIMA donation boxes were placed inside the campus (both Macau Campus and Taipa Campus) from 2 Nov to 18 Nov and were at the entrance of the event. Anima – November new SPP (SPP1579 to SPP1583)!

SPP1577-Rada was under our Special Protection Program (SPP) from 13th November. She was found by our rescue team during the daily feeding somewhere in Macau. She is the mother of five puppies, now also under our protection: SPP1579-Hedda, SPP1580-Hedy, SPP1581-Hanson, SPP1582-Hennie and SPP1583-Harman. As there are no people taking care of them, our rescue team will be responsible for them in the area. Please be responsible! Anima – November Adoption (1533-Jamie)!

1533-Jamie together with 1530-Jerome, 1531-Jeremy, 1532-Joa, all one day old, were rescued by Anima on 22nd September 2015, after a call from Mr. Zheng regarding four puppies that were born in his house by her dog, a Schnauzer. Anima – SPP1578-Veni rescued after serious cruelty!

SPP1578-Veni, now under our special protection program, has been rescued by Anima after several attempts for catching her. This was possible thanks to Dr. António Galvão support who helped us in this rescue. We were trying to catch her from 9th November with no success! Veni was found in a casino construction site (Nova Cidade de Cotai, Gate 54) with a trap in the front right leg. According to Mr. Yum, who is responsible for the dogs in that area, it is the second time this happens and he doesn’t know who does that! It is time to end these cruelty situations! It is time to put in force the law that is being discussed in the Macau Legislative Assembly! Even being, in our opinion, not a good law it is for sure an improvement to the actual environment! Veni was delivered immediately to a clinic in Macau and two fingers were amputated! Thanks...
