Anima – October Adoption (B019-Blinky)!

B019-Blinky, an owl, was rescued by Anima on 16th October 2015, after a night call by the Comissariado Policial da Taipa (Taipa Police Headquarters) referring that an owl (B019-Blinky) has entered a balcony at Kings Ville. The police asked Anima for assistance. Now he was adopted by Ms. Sachiko, very experienced with this kind of birds, with the sole condition to keep him free at home and never caged! Thanks Ms. Sachiko! Please help us to help them! Anima – October Return (SPP1483-Dax)!

See how Dax is happy to go back even if he has been with us for few months! Freedom is very important! They are free and with big spaces for walk and play, space that we are not able to provide! SPP1483-Dax and SPP1484-Daxon enter in our Special Protection Program on 26th June 2015, after a call from Ms. Ah Peng reporting that two puppies were found sick somewhere in Coloane. SPP1483-Dax and SPP1484-Daxon were sent to a clinic for observation. Today we released Dax in his former place and we will follow-up him. Meanwhile Daxon has been adopted! This is part of our Program (SPP)! Our space is limited. We are sorry not to be able to receive all animals that live in streets! October new dogs under SPP (SPP1551 to SPP1561)!

SPP1551-Merick, SPP1552-Melvin, SPP1553-Marion, SPP1554-Merissa, SPP1555-Mikayla, SPP1556-Moira (puppies of SPP1549-Siu Fa), SPP1557-Mya, SPP1558-Mollie, SPP1559-Maura, SPP1560-Montana and SPP1561-Marsha are now under our special protection program. They live in a construction site at Coloane and Mr. Lee is responsible for them in that area. We will neuter all and begin our support program with food and medical care. Thanks Mr. Lee! Anima – October Return (SPP1550-Finbar)!

SPP1550-Finbar was rescued by Anima on 18th October 2015, after a call from Mr. Alex reporting that Finbar, now a dog under our Special Protection Program, living in a construction site, had an eye infection and was limping. Finbar was sent to a clinic for consultation and had to stay there overnight. He was  released today to his former place and will be medicated by Mr. Alex! Thanks Mr. Alex! October Return (SPP1476-Orson and SPP1477-Omar)!

A group of eight dogs, a mother and seven puppies, were included in our Special Protection Program on 14th June 2015: SPP1471-Oona (the mother of 7 puppies), SPP1472-Orla, SPP1473-Oriana, SPP1474-Oprah, SPP1475-Olga, SPP1476-Orson, SPP1477-Omar and SPP1478-Olly. They live somewhere in Coloane. Now Omar and Orson, rescued on the 7th and 8th October for neutering, returned to his place. We wish to them good luck! They are under the responsibility of Mr. Tai. Please help us to help them! If you know of animals in sites and you or someone are able to daily control them, please register them in Anima under our Special Protection Program (SPP). Anima – September Statistics about Cats and Dogs!

Anima has rescued in the period 286 animals, around 32 per month or one per day! Of those, 130 were de-sexed and the remaining is only waiting a recovery and the appropriate age. In the same period 113 animals were adopted. The huge death of animals is explained by the poor condition of them when arrived, or because they were already collected dead or by some diseases that sometimes happen in crowded shelters, even if we try our best to have a proper quarantine and hygiene. But, as you may see, the number of animals dying in the shelter are reducing! Anima adopts the policy of No-Kill and No-Cage, policies that limit our capacity to increase the number of rescues or oblige us to be more selective in our rescue operations! Anima – October Rescue (C1052-Ainsley)!

C1052-Ainsley, was accepted to be rescued by Anima after a night time call from Ms. Leung referring that a cat (C1052-Ainsley) was found very weak in Rua da Praia do Manduco. C1052-Ainsley was delivered immediately to a clinic by Ms. Leung and was very dehydrated and in very poor condition. Our volunteer Mr. Leong  will donate MOP 900 for sponsorship the vet bill. All other costs if any will be covered by us! Anima will follow-up the situation and will keep Ainsley! Thanks Ms. Leung and Mr. Leong! Please do like Ms. Leung! Be active! Do not only talk! Anima – October Adoption (1526-Parker)!

1526-Parker, together with 1524-Paxton, 1525-Payton, 1527-Paulette, 1528-Paulina and 1529-Pauline were rescued by Anima in Coloane on 21st September 2015, after a call from Mr. Edgar.
